Two wooly bears on the road on my bike ride today. Wide brown bands if that means anything to you old wives tales tellers. Swamp Maples are turning, Engleman Ivy and Sumac are coloring the ditches but the Black Walnuts are pretty bare. Few more weeks for good ridge color.

Owen was mostly cute today spinning circles and rolling across the floor. Lots of anticipation for Christmas this year. Look out bottom branches on the tree.

Sorry about last week, lost the time to post with the Labor Day Holiday.

Owen turned 6 months and enjoyed corn on the cob over the weekend. He also had a nap with both Nana in the morning and Papa at noon today as well as lots of smiles. One happy baby so far. AJ said I could feed him peanut butter toast this morning but he slept through my breakfast.

Carter and Kenzie are back in school and happy about it. Kenzie is going to rip up the first grade and Carter is in an alternative 4th grade that is project based more than classroom based. He did really well with it last year.

Beautiful wedding on Saturday at the Green Bay Botanical Gardens. My Youngest Scott and Bridget were married in an outdoor ceremony. It was great seeing all the kids involved and the nice group of friends that Scotty and Bridget have. Louise and I were about 5th from winning the anniversary dance. We are married 39 years, 3 of my cousins are longer and grandma and grandpa Kepler won at 51 years.

Owen got a lot of attention from the cousins at the wedding. It is the first time he has met most of them. Papa had to whisper him to sleep prior to the service so he wouldn’t be crabby during.

Live Lobster weekend is coming fast. Order by September 18th for September 20 or 21 pick up. Activities include a pulled pork fund raiser on Thursday 9-19. Leo and Balky will be doing The Show 2-4 on Thursday 9-19. Working on Samplings for Thursday and Friday also.

No Carter or Kenzie on Monday, they stayed with friends. Owen and I played 6 holes of golf before we got bogged up with other golfers and he got fussy. Hit 4 of the best drives I have ever hit on Hidden Waters but the 2nd and 3rd shots were not pretty.

20 days and counting to Scott and Bridget’s wedding. No stress. When I got measured for the Tux I texted Scott and Bridget that I was measured and picking up the tux on Sept 12th. My phone rang before I backed out of the parking spot. I told Bridget it seemed like stress free planning so far and I figured she needed a poke. Becki and AJ thought it was pretty funny. Scott didn’t.

Had all 3 kids overnight on Sunday night. Owen went to bed crabby but woke up this morning like an angel. Carter and Kenzie stayed up til 10 but slept later this morning. In fact Kenzie went and woke Carter up to play with her. No golf this morning but got 5 miles in on the bike and the grass mowed. Rode past the sweet corn, tassels out but no picking going on.
