Louise, Kenzie and Carter were in Iron Mountain over the weekend at Aunt Marie’s. Louise Called about 10 on Saturday morning for instructions on tying a hook on to a fishing pole. I told her Carter should be able to do it but he needed the line box for the diagram. All Catch and release on Marie’s lake for the kids. Bass, Crappie and one walleye is what they caught.

Owen wasn’t sleeping well last week but Sunday afternoon he dropped right off while I was holding him in the rocker. Papa the baby whisperer.

Bar B Que Club will be here at the store this Wednesday 6-8 PM. We are cooking all the salmon species I can get plus more seafood. $10 per person to cover costs on this one. Stop on by if you want to eat grilled seafood and talk cooking. Next month is grilled pizza for BBQ Club back at the regular spot in Greenville.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of June 10th

Sorry about last week I was gone on vacation to Canada fishing. Just 5 of us this year. Ate fish every day and brought home 15 of 16 walleye and northern. Carter and his buddy thought they could out fish me but no. I even gave them a couple zeros for the sessions I fished lake trout. Look for Carter to be scrubbing floors on Thursday. Weather was great, just a light sprinkle on Tuesday. No golf this year, next year for sure.

Owen survived his first Papa day today with his cousins. Kenzie tried to change a poopy diaper but started gaging. Nana got him to the new diaper spot and Kenzie said “I got this from here.” I golfed with Carter and Kenzie today, left Owen home with Nana. Shot 57, par the first and lots of 7s and 8s thereafter. I did hit Ken’s Tommy Armor driver straight, longest drive in a long time on 9 and middle of the fairway.

Thank you for a great Memorial day. Hope you all had a great weekend. Got a round of golf in on Monday with my sister and brother in law, Nephew John and Scooter and Bridget. Second hole Nancy says are you still happy you brought me. I didn’t tell her then but I am used to playing with a 9 and 6 year old. I texted Kenzie at the 5th tee box so see if I should call the club house and order hot dogs like I do when she is with me. I also texted that we were ringing the bell at 9. Her mom said she giggled. Owen didn’t come golfing, it was raining at his house.

Happy Memorial Day to everyone. Take time to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. Looks like some better weather is coming our way for the weekend.

No golf today, the water was not so hidden at Hidden Waters Golf Coarse today. Got to babysit Owen while AJ had an interview this morning. The little lug slept 1/2 the time and ate the other 1/2. He was a happy one in between. Baptized Owen on Sunday also. Had dinner at the sushi place in Stevens Point Sunday night. Carter and Kenzie ordered Corn Dogs. Kenzie took the corn off the dog and just ate the dog.

End of dinner Sunday night Kenzie says “I can pull my tooth out.” AJ says do it and she did. Now she has a double space on the bottom, no sweet corn for her. Hopefully it wasn’t too late for the tooth fairy to get the message. Owen’s dad got a new truck so now Owen can ride with dad, but now the dog stays home, no dog hair in the truck. Only problem with the new truck is the 7 foot fly rod doesn’t fit.

To wet and windy this morning for baby golf, maybe next week. Did get my walk in though. Carter played baseball in New London over the weekend. Baby Owen was not liking the cheering and wailed every time something good happened. Carter is also still playing hockey. Nana was looking for the calendar on her phone so she asked Kenzie to find it for her. About 4 seconds later Kenzie handed the phone back, “here you go Nana.”
