owen can reach the light switch now. He needed a couple diapers to reach it on Monday but Sunday he got it no problem. Baby sister is due in about a month. Owen is in for some big changes.

Bella made brownies for Carter and Kenzie and dropped them off with me at the store. Kenzie got really mad when I said that Bella loves me more. That’s bad influence Papa teasing Kenzie.

Carter scored a goal this week so everyone on the team has now scored this year. I asked if he scored from his goalie position. No he got to skate. I guess they weren’t real enthusiastic about their play because they ran up the score early and just played keep away for most of the game.

I have 4 to golf on Wednesday. This will be our last week of indoor golf unless we decide to play again next week.

Owen cuddled right in this morning and we read 4 books before breakfast. Took a little bit to get him to chase me today, Carter and Kenzie were there also, off from school today. Nana was taking her afternoon nap with Owen when I left. She will have him again Tuesday as his sitter is moving over the weekend. Nana is going to be tired on Wednesday. Owen is very much into the Egypt Scape on Dish TV. Moon, Camels and the Cheetah are his favorites.

Played golf last Wednesday, I must have played pretty good because my “friends” suggested Uber for a ride home. Actually I was 18 over par so about normal for me. I think we all got a little tired on the back nine. Playing again on Wednesday.

Owen helped with finally taking down the Christmas this morning. It is a 12 foot artificial, all 5 pieces are in the box in the basement til Thanksgiving. Kenzie and Nana were together for 3 days. I think they got tired of each other. Kenzie kept waking Nana up to tell her she talks in her sleep. I don’t remember what lead up to it but Kenzie said “Really Nana, its been 3 days.”

Owen had very cold feet when he was dropped off in bed with me this morning. He did stay and cuddle and read books until his feet warmed up. He was really surprised to see what was behind the couch today when I moved it to move the Christmas tree over by the steps to the loft to finish taking it down. No where to ditch toys anymore I moved the couch to the middle of the room from the wall. He is also in a ‘big boy’ bed.. well for one night. He saw it in the basement and seem to think it was pretty cool. Baby sister is going to need the crib soon.

Carter got his miles in pheasant and quail hunting in Kansas last week. They went down last Sunday into a snow storm and drove home Friday to beat the next storm and get home for hockey on Saturday, they lost both games. Hunting was pretty tough, no pheasant only a couple quail. Kenzie stayed home with her mom and read bedtime stories to Nana and Papa. They decided on Sunday to shovel off paths on the ice on the lake. Can’t seem to get enough of it!

Happy Birthday to my sister this week, I don’t think she is 60 yet. We always celebrated her birthday on the 26th until she was in high school and went and got her birth certificate to get a passport and found out she was born on the 27th. Third kid apparently Mom miss remembered the day.

Had Owen today. This afternoon when I was leaving for work Louise said to be quiet, he was making some noise and she wanted him to go back to sleep. I got down the 2nd step and Owen looks up and says “Hi Papa.” I’m sure Louise was chasing him the rest of the afternoon.

Carter and Kenzie played hockey but I got no reports on how they did other than Kenzie was playing goalie.

The hens have been busy. Over 300 eggs so far. Gained over 100 in a week.

AJ’s egg count has shot over 200, she gets about 10-12 a day from 16 hens. She has about 5 dozen in her refrigerator before she shared them with the family. The big ones that look like they hurt have double yokes. Owen and his dad eat a lot of eggs. Owen stayed overnight at Nana and Papa’s last night. He didn’t go to bed very well, kept climbing out of the pen and coming out to see what was going on. He is getting too big, 2 in March.
