Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of August 1st

Wow August, has me thinking about Christmas and Valentine’s Day inventory. Just talking king crab with one of my seafood suppliers.

Shot 50 today, had 3 grandkids, my niece and her 8 week old baby with me. Before we left for golf Sylvi kept telling me “let’s go, let’s go.” Kenzie and Owen were checking for frogs at all the ponds. Kenzie was putting today, she was doing pretty good. Need to have her swing a club now.

Sunday afternoon Owen found a little green worm in the yard. He carried it around for about 45 minutes and didn’t even feed it to the chickens. He got to the sand box and the worm was gone. We said after all the places he had it it took off for the woods to hide.

Waiting for a call back on Waupaca Sweet Corn from my neighbor. Will let you know. Next week for sure.

Shot 48 this morning with all 4 grandkids. Dropped Carter off at his house to do chores. Asked if he could cross the road safely or should I pull in the driveway. He chose driveway, I asked if he was a raccoon, can’t cross the road safely.

Owen was catching frogs in his yard on Sunday and moving them to the edge of the woods to be safe. His pool was 1/2 full on Saturday before the rain. It was full after the rain. His dad is home from Canada fishing. He had an extra day because of fog, no planes flying.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for first week after vacation

Thank you to Louise for stepping in on the e-mail/blog post last week.

Fishing in Canada after missing 2 years to Covid. Took my cousin from Milwaukee for the first time. It was fun to fish with him and see things through a first timers’ eyes. Pulled up to the resort and got out of the cars to two eagles flying over low and fighting over a fish. Baby loons on the lake that we normally don’t see in June. Caught lots of big walleye, ate walleye 6 nights and brought home 19 of the 20 we were allowed. Thursday night I caught a 22 inch walleye on the last cast with the last leech in the bucket 30 feet away from Carter’s boat where they were complaining about not being able to catch that last walleye. Had to throw it back, in the slot.

Everything went well at the store, great crew, no worries.

See if I can sneak another trip in in September.

Niemuth’s Specials for the week of July 11, 2022

So, Richard left for his annual fishing trip to Canada on Saturday so this week you’re getting ‘the girl next door’, his ‘prom date’, his ‘high school sweetheart’ and ‘the girl of his dreams’ and ‘the woman that has made him the happiest man on earth’. (And I’m all the same girl, too, by the way!)

Papa is already giving Carter a hard time about ‘out fishing’ him this week so you will probably be hearing some good stories next week. The annual fishing trip has not happened for the last 2 years but Canada is final letting them in again so Richard, our son Aaron, grandson Carter, his cousin Dave, and another friend all went this year. Hope they have fun. I have the littles this week (our 1 and 3 y.o grands). I have learned that mini-marshmallows are a miracle treat. They stop tears in seconds.
