Owen and I went for a walk this morning. We walked past the house with dogs and I put him out of his stroller to walk but he just looked back and pointed at where the dogs lived. Then he was just about ready to walk with me when a young lady walked around the corner with two little kids on bikes. He finally did walk with me about 50 yards, walked into the woods twice before I put him back in the stroller. Then he almost went to sleep before we got home.

I read bedtime stories to Kenzie and Carter on Sunday night. They were too crabby and tired to read to me. Kenzie got new math books in the mail today.

When Owen and I left the lake today the neighbor was spreading money on the field across the street. I could smell the money when I walked out the door. One week each spring and fall we smell the money. Not a problem, the farm was there first. Owen almost sounded like he said Tractor.

Store hours are Sunday – Thursday 10-6 and Friday and Saturday 9-6.

Happy Birthday to me Tuesday, 61. Had cake and ice cream on Sunday. Carter was trying to weasel the last piece of cake and almost got his face smashed into it.

Carter and Kenzie have been reading us a bedtime story each night. Carter is reading a chapter book about the French Resistance during World War II. Kenzie reaches above grade level (1st grade) with some of her books. She read an insect book with a lot of 5th and 6th grade words and still did pretty good with them.

AJ dropped Owen off at 7 this morning and said good luck, he has been chasing the dog for an hour so far. He did chase me for a little while but he also took a 2 hour nap. I only got an hour.

Owen is walking everywhere now. He spread most of Easter dinner on the floor for the dogs. Papa did get to share an orange with him.

Owen is on a mission to empty every cupboard in his house. We had him today and we were able to distract him from empting ours. He is walking more than crawling. Pretty soon he will be running.

Carter and Kenzie have been reading “bedtime stories” to Nana and Papa every night. They are both really excited about it and usually plan a theme. They are really cute when they read and are very good readers. Working on zoom so we can get more relatives on the story line.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of March 29th

Contrary to what you might have been told I am not dead, although there were probably a couple times I wished I was.(My wife says it’s a man thing.) Didn’t qualify for the COVID test but passed influenza A & B with flying colors(no flu). Not enough serious symptoms or infected connections to qualify for the test.

A new daredevil has emerged, Owen was climbing up the shelves in the refrigerator on Friday, jumping off the couch, and standing on one of his little play tables like he was giving a speech. He has also learned to move his toys to climb on the table to look out the windows. I guess the kitchen cupboards have also been rearranged by Mom and Dad to get things out of reach. Now this afternoon he was on a video with cousin Kenzie. I imagine the conversation was… “OK, Kenzie, I did all that. What’s next?”

Seems like the older two have learned how to cover for each other as to whether they practiced their instruments or did their school work. Might be their dad is a bad influence except he usually says “really, you don’t think I thought of that when I was your age, a lot?”
