Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of February 28th

Happy Mardi Gras and Ash Wednesday. Spring is coming, Jim said he saw robins already.

AJ volunteered for the e-mail/blog post this week. She told me she has a PTO day to burn before June. I said we should go out on lake Michigan salmon fishing in May. Jim found out and said she should go fishing with him. I said this is full circle. Five years ago, I was talking to AJ on the phone by the meat counter about Badger Hockey tickets. She said she couldn’t go. I said you would choose your boyfriend over your father load enough for several ladies who were shopping could hear. They looked up and smiled. AJ said why don’t you tell them I am 31 too? It’s a good day, she chose her dad to go fishing with over her them boyfriend now husband.

Owen and his dad were playing Owen Burrito. Owen has a tumbling mat and his dad rolls him up in it and tickles him. Then Owen rolls his dad in the mat and tickles him. Sylvi Still just watches. Sylvi does baby yoga poses and knows she is cute when she does it.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of February 21st.

No school today so I had all 4 grand kids. Sylvi is moving around more but not quite ready to chase and pile on with the other 3. We were at AJ’s house. Owen and Kenzie went out to gather eggs and feed the chickens. They lost one egg when Owen went down the hill on the sled. Carter and Kenzie both won hockey games but neither of them scored a goal.

Carter is also a mouser. He caught a mouse out by the chicken coop in the woods.

Owen’s 3rd birthday is coming up in March. The morning after he was born he was flown to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee and had surgery on his throat to allow him to breath. We are doing a fund raiser on March 10th in the store for Children’s Hospital. Cost is $75 per person. Only 14 tickets are still available. Personal Chef Day McGee will prepare Flank Steak, Ora King Salmon, Venison Frenched Rib Eye and desert. Wine samples will also be served with each course. Stop in for more details or Tickets. Thank you, Richard.

The next Children’s Hospital fund raiser will be June 4th at Kitz and Pfeil Ace Hardware. The Southside Slider Competition still has openings for a couple cooks. See Jeff at Kitz and Pfeil Ace for an entry form and details. If you don’t want to cook, come to eat.

Store Hours are 9-6 Sunday=Tuesday, 10=7 Wednesday-Thursday and 9-7 Friday and Saturday.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of February 7th.

Owen was standing on the stool next to the counter this morning while I was doing Peanut Butter and Strawberry Jam toast. He pointed at the cupboards and insisted I shut the door. None of them were open. He said no, the bubbles. The cap was open on the Dawn dish soap bottle.

Got back to the store this afternoon and there was a squirrel drinking from a water bottle on the TV, water running down it belly. I said to Miranda and Max that Louise was just doing that to Sylvi when I left Waupaca. Water down the belly and all.

Carter and Kenzie were out of town hockey again this weekend, didn’t see them. Kenzie did call me to read a book to me last Thursday night. We did this almost every day when they were home schooling last year for Covid.

Played Golf last Wednesday and will play the next 3 Wednesdays. Shot 16 over par so not too bad for me.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of January 31st.

Owen dumped out the basket of train parts this morning and played with it for little while. Then he went up to the loft and came down and kicked all of Nana’s folded laundry down the steps. After lunch just before nap time lets pick up the train stuff. No. Gal darn over privileged first born Niemuth Boys, good thing they are cute. He did help pick up the train anyway.

Before that Owen was playing on the landing and Sylvi was sitting on the 1st step. She tipped over and fell off the step. Little blood, I think her bottom teeth hit the top gum. (We will see if her mom reads the e-mail too.) No marks so all good on Papa’s watch.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of January 24th

What a Packer game!

Louise called baby yoga on Sunday night and Sylvi and Owen almost bumped heads doing a downward dog. Sylvi was so cute, and she knew it. They both put a leg up in the air and Sylvi tried to look around to see who was watching. They were both at the store on Saturday morning, Aj and Nana came to Appleton shopping. Couple customers said it was nice to put a face with the names. Of course, I was wearing my bad influence Papa sweatshirt and got them riled up a little too.

Louise called Owen on Thursday night. Owen was thrilled, Nana called ME. Louise told him to ask his dad how much ice the below zero temp would make overnight. The answer was 2 inches but Owen was awful cute trying to say “inch”.

Carter and Kenzie were all hockey, didn’t see them at all. They are getting a little old to be cute anymore.
