Carter must have gotten some story telling gene from his mother’s side.  He was tellling about taking his dad’s boat to Africa and helping a friend with a fire on his farm.  Don’t know where else a wild tale like that might have come from.

Kenzie hasn’t  learned yet that  she can get out of the golf cart.   John and I played this morning and she never got out of the cart.  She does like to ride standing up between my legs.   A little dare devil in this one also.  Probably next Monday when Carter is with us she will be all over the place also.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of May 12th

Just got home from Columbus Ohio.  Took my mom down to my sister’s for Mother’s day weekend.  BEAUTIFUL weather down south, 91 in Chicago Thursday night.  Mid 80s Friday, Sat and Sunday in Indiana and Ohio.  Some rain showers, just enough to NOT get a round of golf in, but nothing serious.  Only an hour and 20 minutes border to border in Illinois on 94 downtown.

Becky picked up Grandma after Carter’s soccer practice that was cancelled due to wet conditions.  Carter has his “summer” haircut.  Feels like he needs a shave, about a 2 or 3 day beard.  He’ll need some suntan lotion on that one.

Kenzie was real excited to see Nana, arms waving and feet kicking.  Not so much for me.

Found a couple interesting things in the markets in Columbus that you will see incorporated into our store in the next couple weeks.  The first one on Wednesday will be bulk, by the pound lettuce and baby spinach sales.

Happy Mother’s Day this Sunday.

Sorry about the delay in sending this out.  We had a virus in the computer over the weekend and I lost my password.

Kenzie and I got our first outdoor round of golf in Monday.  I shot 51 with one par and lots of double bogeys.  She didn’t drive the cart into the pond  but she did fall on the floor and bump the gas pedal and unlock the brake.  No marks or damage to her or the cart.  She also felt it necessary to help me keep score… she liked taking the pencil and writing on my score care.  I know I have golfed on warmer days in November than it was Monday morning but it is still good to get out.

Carter has 3 more weeks of pre school left so he won’t be out Monday golfing until June.

I now have Carter convinced he can call a train in with his train whistle.  He had me stop at his house on the way into Waupaca today to get his whistle.  Hard to tell if it worked or not as the local engine was moving cars by the foundry this afternoon.

Went fishing 3 times last week.  Caught 3 walleye and 2 white bass on Monday but nothing on Friday and Saturday.  Won’t be able to go again until May 17th.

My youngest son Scott couldn’t go fishing with me tonight.  He had “hose management” class.  He is a volunteer fireman in Waupaca.  We also took his truck to church on Easter Sunday but he wouldn’t let me turn the flashing lights on.

Carter is fascinated with trains.  He always wants to get to the Waupaca store at a time when a train is going by.  We got him a wooden train whistle so he can call a train in any time he wants to.  Works just like a turkey or deer call.

Today was my birthday, happy 55 to me.
