Happy Father’s Day. Owen told me he sprayed his dad with the hose yesterday, hope he behaves himself next Sunday. He did his best putting on all 9 greens golfing this morning. Sylvi is walking on the greens more. Her thing now is picking up my ball before I can Putt. Two hot dogs after number 6. I shot 50, all bogie and more. She fell asleep on the way home.

Didn’t see the kids on Sunday. I took a vendor and his son fishing on lake Poygan. Cleaned 4 walleye and 1 perch. Threw back 2 small walleye, 2 sheephead and one catfish. They didn’t say to keep the catfish fast enough, it was small anyway.

Carter was playing Hockey in Nashville TN over the weekend. Didn’t hear how they did. Should have all 4 grandkids golfing next Monday.

BBQ Club is at Niemuth’s Southside Market this Wednesday 6/15 at 6 to 8 PM. $10 donation, lots of good food to sample. Please come and talk “smoke” with us.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of June 6th

Sorry for missing last week’s e-mail, busy holiday.

At first I thought it was a fox by the chicken coop but it was a fawn that ran through the yard. Owen was outside and it came nose to nose with him. His dad tried to scare it away but it ran around the yard for about 1/2 an hour. When we left after dinner there was a doe in the field across the road but we didn’t see the fawn. Should be back with mom safe in the woods.

Sylvi is mostly walking now. She still looks to see if you are watching her walk and drops down and crawls some times.

Carter is playing hockey in Nashville next weekend.

Played golf with the family Memorial Day. Jim shot 49, I shot 50, John 58, Scott 59 and AJ a few more. AJ brought a bag of treats for the kids. That is not how Papa rolls, pink lemonade and hotdogs after the 6th hole is all I give them. No golf today, rain.

Shot 48 today, surprised myself after one in the woods and one in the water for a 7 on 1. Par on 2 and 8, normal the rest of the way. Sylvi got tired of golfing and started to crawl to the parking lot on 9. She stayed in the cart for most of the round. Didn’t eat much of her hot dog on the turn. Owen only putted on 3 holes.

Carter had a hockey tournament in Duluth over the weekend. They fished on the Chippewa flowage on Thursday and Sunday. Dad and Carter’s buddy caught fish, Carter didn’t. I had 4 sheephead and a catfish on Winnebago. Carter’s dad told him to give me grief for counting sheephead. Didn’t see Kenzie this weekend.

Carter and Kenzie were teaching Owen naughty stuff on his swing and slide on Sunday. Owen was putting with me this morning. His dad was asking about kids clubs. I have 2 sets but I don’t think he should be swinging yet, might be a little dangerous. I shot 46, 3 pars and the rest all normal golf. They had mowed the greens so no dew. The strategy is to put Sylvi down far enough away so that I can go putt before she has a chance to crawl into the way. Only 2 tries at bouncing off the cart.

Went to 3 Sheeps anniversary party on Saturday in Sheboygan. Checked out Miesfeld’s new addition and Slo Foods Market. Both had a few interesting items. Took AJ and the boat to try a little salmon fishing. Too much east wind, no salmon up on shore. Will try again in the fall.

Played golf with Owen and Sylvi this morning. Used their Dad’s clubs because I forgot mine in Appleton again. Shot 50, Par 4 on 1, Bogue 6 on 2 then all over the board after that. Didn’t get hotdogs at the turn because their phone was off the hook. Owen did a good job of teaching Sylvi to stay on the cart and being quiet. He forgot that he shouldn’t turn the key off or pop it in reverse or turn the steering wheel all the way one way. First time out on the grass.

Took Carter and his buddy fishing on Saturday. Carter caught the lone whitebass. I caught 2 more fish on Sunday with Scott so I am still up 4 to 1. He might catch up when they go up to Hayward fishing. Didn’t see Kenzie again this week.
