Had a couple putters shorten for the kids and of course I found the two I couldn’t find all year. Owen and Sylvi got their puts in but Kenzie dropped two putts over 10 feet. I keep telling her she needs to swing more clubs.

Kenzie went in the water on Sunday but it was too cold to float. Fifty-degree nights really take it out of the lake. I was down on the dock at Midnight but only saw a couple of the Perseids. Had 3 hoot owls talking to each other around the lake.

Ojai Vineyards 2019 Syrah John Sebastiano. Santa Rita Hills California. Just 213 cases produced. Effusive and layered aromatics with flowers, stones, cathedral incense and smoky spiced meat emanating over the base layers of mulberry and blueberry. That dark spectrum of fruit shows on the palate too, folded with layers of tobacco, cacao and meaty olives. Tannins are super fine and spicy, nothing to keep you from enjoying upon release.

Chemistry Pinot Gris 2022, Willamette Valley. Lively aromas of lemon and Anjou pear leap from the glass greeting you with freshness and acidity. Nice week in Canada fishing with Aaron, Carter and my sister. Went to a new lake, Canyon Lake, a world class musky lake. Carter caught his first, 33 inches and had others on and lots of follows. Aaron Caught a couple, 43 was the biggest. My sister had one on. Took her walleye she was reeling in. Had it to the boat but didn’t get it in. I only fished musky one day, had a couple follows but none hooked. Lots of small walleye, couldn’t find any big ones. Weather was good but we could have had a little more wind.

Left my work shoes in Canada also. Not as smart as I look.

Not feeling well over the weekend, didn’t go to Waupaca an play golf with the kids. Did play on Thursday with AJ, Scott and the kids. Scotty is the fun Uncle, he let Owen drive the golf cart. They hit every puddle and made some crazy turns.

Store hours this week are 10-6 Sunday – Tuesday, 10-7 Wednesday – Thursday and 9-7 Friday and Saturday.

Fresh seafood for Tuesday will be Green Bay Perch, North Atlantic Cod and Crab and Scallop Stuffed Sole.
Fresh seafood for Wednesday will be Ora King Salmon, Halibut Cheeks and Live Bevan Oysters.
Fresh seafood for Thursday will be Swordfish and Chilean Sea Bass.
