Went perch fishing at Pony Creek on Lake Poygan Sunday afternoon. Cold SE wind, about a dozen people fishing. Only saw 1 perch caught, one guy said he had one. I lost a couple minnows but don’t suspect I had a bite. Had the minnows in a hot pickle bucket, they had a little bit of a green glow to them. Don’t know if that affected my fishing. Left the bucket on the deck overnight, it was empty this morning. The raccoons must have cleaned me out.

Went down by the boat landing on our walk this morning. Owen wanted to touch the water, but I told him it was too cold for me to get all wet when he falls in. No water touching today. He did tell me the boat landing was a place his dad goes fishing. Owen gave up one of your spots Jim.

Birthday party for Sylvi on Saturday, one year old. She stands but doesn’t walk yet. Soon enough Owen will be on the bike and Sylvi will be running. Hope to be golfing in 2 weeks.

Matt is Back! Today was Matt’s first day back at work after suffering a stroke in February. Thank you to everyone who contributed by rounding up at the register. You donated almost $450 and I rounded it up to $500. Welcome Back Matt!

I am officially out of the big dance. Had Villanova winning overall. Still a good year for me, my daughter was out last week. Bragging rights to Papa again!

Owen was throwing snowballs at me while we were walking this morning. He almost hit his sister. I think his mother was the instigator. He was trying to say big words today. I put a Camouflage t-shirt on him. He said it about as well as I spelled it. Their mom will be glad that I got mine (Sylvi) to nap today. Louise didn’t do as well with Owen.

Hockey tournament in Marinette over the weekend. Didn’t get a report on the results. Carter has a tournament in Nashville the first week in June that looks like it will screw up our Canada trip.

Order Easter Ham, Lamb, rib roast and steaks ASAP. Boneless hams are out of the smokehouse last Sunday. Bone in hams will be out next Friday ready for Palm Sunday or Easter pickup. 920 734 4905

Carter played in a 3 on 3 hockey tournament this weekend, didn’t get a report.

Sylvi got into some static electricity in the loft this morning. She was really cute crawling through the sun light with a whole head of fine little heir standing straight up. Owen was asking about caterpillars turning into butterflies and golf today. I told him neither one will happen until the ice is gone from the lake. We will be looking for caterpillars on the milkweed this summer when we are walking, probably not at the golf course.

Went for a walk this morning with Owen and Sylvi. Heard and saw robins, cardinals, geese and airplanes. Owen would get off the stroller and run. When he wanted to get back on I would push him back and run away from him. He told me I was naughty when I did that. At lunch they both were pretty messy and dropping food on the floor. Owen looked down and said “you need a dog Papa.” I need cleaner grand kids.

Kenzie and Becki were in church with Nana on Sunday. Carter and Aaron were up north.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of 3/14 Happy Pi Day

Sylvi is a little dare devil. She rides her little rocking pony “Butterscotch” standing up on the saddle. She was also standing on the little children’s rocking chair. She did go down the steps feet first this morning. She races up the steps much faster. I mailed Owen a birthday card with an otter stamp on it. He loves otters. Went wild over them at the zoo last summer.

Carter’s hockey team won the state championship on Sunday. He skated, didn’t play goalie. I didn’t hear if he scored but his dad said he was one of two boys on the team that the other team was worried about. Carter and Kenzie were on spring break last week. Bella stopped by with them on her way to taking them back to Waupaca after the Children’s Museum. They tried to get into trouble by running out back to play in the puddle.

Thank you to those who attended dinner to benefit Childrens Hospital. We raised over $600. Thank you very much. Look for another event in May, probably outside under the tent.

Two more Sandhills this week, still no robins. I expect robins by the weekend.

I mailed Owen a birthday card because I found otter stamps at the post office. He is a big otter fan. Couldn’t find an otter cord, he got an octopus card.
