Carter and his dad went ice fishing on Winnebago on Saturday.  Didn’t catch any fish but Carter had fun.  He didn’t put his leg in the hole up to his hip like his dad did when he was Carter’s age.

I guess I ducked a bullet over the weekend also as my schedule with Kenzie didn’t match the gymnastic schedule.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of January 5th

Happy Birthday to my Daughter AJ, 29 today, holy cow I’m old.  She is in India on a nursing school trip.  She called me last night so I could wish her a happy birthday.  It was Monday morning there, she is about 12 hours ahead of us.  She is suffering through 85 degree heat and humidity there.  Four more days of nursing then 4 days of sight seeing before she comes home.

Carter didn’t have school today because of the cold.  He was cute laughing at Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry just like I did when I was his age.  Kenzie was snoring the whole trip back to Appleton from Waupaca today.  She got really mad when her mom put her cold hands on her and woke her up.

Thank you for such a great holiday season.  We were really busy.  Saw a lot of old friends and lots of first time people.  Lots of reports of “best ever” holiday dinners,  Thank you.

Hot @ Niemuth’s for Monday after 4 pm

Hot food on Mondays is returning to Niemuth’s on the coldest day of the year so far. 

Chef George will be making Burgandy Mushroom Beef stew in bread bowls.  It will be available after 4 pm on Monday.  Call 920 734 4905 to reserve yours.

Chef George also has Wild Rice meat balls over pasta in our heat and eat section.  4-6 minutes in the microwave for a hot meal for two.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for the last week of 2014

Happy New Year!

My sister Janet is back home in Ancohrage Alaska where she says it is warmer than here.  She will be right the next couple days.  She brought smoked salmon this year because we appreciate it more than fresh fish from Alaska.

Haven’t seen much of Carter and Kenzie.  I know they went ice skating on Sunday night and Kenzie is skating with a chair and her dad.  Carter was a little demon on the ski hill on Friday night.  No emergency room injuries this year, AJ didn’t go so she wouldn’t get hurt.

Store Hours this week 9 – 9 Tues and Wed.  10 – 6 Thursday January 1st and 9-9 Friday and Saturday.

Fresh Seafood for Tuesday will be Ora King Salmon, Wild Sockeye Salmon (thawed) Scottish Salmon, u10 Scallops, Shucked Oysters, Atlantic Haddock, Fresh Halibut, Live Oysters, PEI Mussels, wild gulf shrimp and Live Oysters.  I will also have 2 sizes of King Crab and 3 or 4 sizes of cold water Canadian lobster tails available in the counter.

Fresh Seafood for Wednesday will be 10 Live Lobsters.  That is all the extra ones I will order above my pre orders.  If you want to guarantee live lobsters you must order them.  920 734 4905

Merry Christmas from the Niemuth Family and employees @ Niemuth’s Southside Market.  We have been extremely blessed this year by you, our wonderful friends and customers and also with a great staff of employees.  Many thanks to everyone and a Blessed New Year to all.

Childrens Christmas service was at church in Waupaca today.  Three Niemuth children participated, my grandson Carter and my brother’s kids Cameron and Kylee.  In 2 years Kenzie will be the little girl in the front row lifting her dress up.  We were a little afraid that Carter was going to be the loud one but not this time.  Family in 4 pews and uncle Roger ushering.  My sister Nancy always says Niemuth kids performing always attracts a crowd.

Store Hours this week:  Mon – Tues 9 – 9, Wed, Christmas Eve 9 – 5, Closed Thursday Christmas Day, Fri – Sat 9 – 9 and 10 – 6 next Sunday.
