Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of November 17th

Carter wanted to go skating out on the lake today.  I told him we needed to wait a few more days before we can shovel out a skating rink.  He is a mad man on the ice at the hockey rink, practicing backwards skating and next he wants to spray ice.

Kenzie was a cuddley little bear today.  She felt like she had a fever when I dropped her at home.  I hope the little flea bag doesn’t make me sick just before deer season and Thanksgiving.

Speaking of deer hunting we are cutting deer, or if you cut your own we are grinding hamburger and making sausage.  Bring your deer or trim in for processing.  Scott shot a deer a couple weeks ago so we have venison hot stix and summer sausage if you want a sample for deer camp.

Carmella’s Will be here on Friday afternoon 3 – 6 sampling their sauces and Chef George will be sampling some of his creations also.  We will also have beer and wine samples available.  Watch our facebook page for any additional venders that will be sampling.

Holiday store hours are 9 – 9 Monday – Saturday and 10 – 6 Sunday.  We are CLOSED THANKSGIVING DAY but open 9 – 9 Black Friday with some wine and food specials.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of November 10th

Sorry I think that posted, I hit the enter key instead of the tab key.

A little fun at the lake on Sunday.  AJ was out on the swimming dock to get it in for the winter.  The first year my nephew John borrowed a wet suit and swam out to get it.  He got too cold before he got it untied and gave me a real nasty look when I said “why don’t you pull a board up instead of going in the water?”  He asked why I didn’t tell him that before he swam out.  I told him it wouldn’t have been as funny to watch.  After that he took the board up and put a speed clip on it.  Back to AJ, last spring when she put the dock out she dropped the hammer to the bottom of the lake.  Sunday she had the old beater hammer but didn’t drop it in the lake.  Unfortunately the beater hammer doesn’t work as well as the one dropped so it took her a while to get the board up.  When she finally did get the dock loose and paddled it in Carter was waiting on the shore dock with a paddle to splash her.  Some water did leave the lake both ways but no one got really wet.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of November 3rd

So when you see a building on fire call nine one one.  Louise was driving out to the lake on Friday and saw a fire at Silvermist Garden Center.  She Called our son Scott who is on the Volunteer Fire Department in Waupaca instead of nine one one.  He told her to call nine one one and hung up on her.  He called nine one one and she did also, she met him heading into town with his lights flashing.  Don’t know how much damage but they had the hole in the roof fixed by the time I got back from golfing this morning.

Speaking of golfing, Kenzie and I got our last round of the year (maybe) in today.  It was a beautiful day on the golf coarse.  I don’t know where Kenzei got the idea but the first 3 holes she ran up on the green and picked up my ball before I could putt.  It was also a little sad out there.  The last round that my Dad and I played was the Monday before the election in 2008, mid 70s and sunny, a really good day on the golf coarse.

Happy Birthday to my brother Roger, 54 yesterday.  Grandma (Mom) baked the cake via Piggly Wiggly in Waupaca.  She also made dinner for Scott last Wednesday.  He was a little worried because she hasn’t cooked an actual meal in at least 4 or 5 years.  He got to her appartment and smelled chicken.  She had roast chicken and potato wedges from the Pig.

My cousin’s son the state patrolman got married on Saturday in Milwaukee.  I didn’t get there in time to get a “get out of jail free” card.  Lots of little kids Carter and Kenzie’s age running around the dance floor.  I got to dance with my mother, wife and  niece as well as Kenzie.  A very nice party all around.
