Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of August 3rd

Good day golfing today, Carter and Kenzie hit the ball well. Owen was all over the greens following me around. Started good, birdie, Par but went down hill from there.

Owen’s baby chickens are getting bigger. Feathers and colors are coming in. They figure 4 roosters for the frying pan. He doesn’t seem to be very interested in them, he was more excited about the hummingbird on the feeder.

Carter has hockey camp in Duluth next week. His mom is worried about safety.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of July 20th

Shot 49 this morning, 2 pars not a lot of other good stuff. Carter and Kenzie were driving off on Owen. He got some running in chasing the golf cart. Owen didn’t get much nap either. To many distractions with Carter down by the lake fishing and Kenzie playing farm and Lego.

Owen’s baby chicks will be outside by the end of the week, several of them have “escaped” the brood pen in the house. This will be the 2nd week anyway so they should go outside. Owen thinks its pretty funny chasing them.

Store hours are 10-6 Sunday-Tuesday, 10-7 Wednesday-Thursday and 9-7 Friday and Saturday. Masks are now required for shopping. Be a part of the solution not a part of the problem. Thank you.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of July 13th

So AJ puts a post out that Owen is a “Big Brother to 20” baby chicks. Louise called me right away all excited about Owen being a big brother. Sorry Nana, just chickens.

Hot morning on the golf coarse. Didn’t add up the score, Carter says to me about the 6th hole “your not playing very good today Papa.” I did have several good shots and one par. 3 kids in and out of the cart can’t be that much of a distraction.

Carter has started a grass mowing business. 3 customers so far, mom and dad, Aunt Nancy next door and Uncle Roger across the street. Its Roger’s mower. He wants his mom to drive him around to more places to mow. I said last night at dinner at least 3 times I was going home to mow the grass. He didn’t catch on. Mine is NOT a riding mower job.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of July 6th

Owen thought it was hilarious when his dad and mom were blowing bubbles in the water while they were swimming. He is OK sitting on the mat with me but doesn’t really want to stand in the water on his own. He was splashing everyone also.

Carter and Kenzie were playing on the big splash mat at the neighbors house.

One hot day of golf this morning. Shot 48, not bad for me. Carter was going for the flock of Turkeys on numbers 3 and 4. Didn’t get close.

Store Hours are 10-6 Sunday-Tuesday, 10-7 Wednesday and Thursday and 9-7 Friday and Saturday. Next day closed is Thanksgiving Thursday.

Had a question about the veggie and fruit stand in the parking lot. Don is renting space from me for the summer. His sign says open 10-5 daily but there is not always someone there. He does have an honor box for when no one is there. His phone number is on the stand if you have questions or want to place an order. I believe he is cash only.

Fresh seafood for Wednesday will be Ora King Salmon, Canadian Perch, Black Tip Shark, Live Bevan Oysters and Door County Whitefish.
Fresh seafood for Thursday will be Canadian Walleye and Gulf Black Grouper (I Think)

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of June 29th

Have a safe and cautious 4th of July.

Golfing this morning with all 3 grand children. Carter was hitting the ball about 50 yards or so, not to much hockey in his swing even though he had hockey camp this afternoon. Little baseball left over from his tournament last Saturday. They didn’t win the game I went to, don’t know how the other 2 turned out.

Kenzie was just putting today. She did drop about a 12 foot putt with a big smile. I told her some of the guys I play with would be thrilled to do that too.

Owen got to walk on the greens but had to stay in the cart on the tee box, too big of swings going on.

Store hours are 10-6 Sunday-Tuesday, 10-7 Wednesday-Thursday and 9-7 Friday-Saturday. We will be open regular hours, 9-7 on Saturday July 4th.

Because of significantly increasing costs of credit card processing (over $8000 for April and May) we have instituted a $2.50 processing fee for Credit Card ONLY use. Debit Cards are OK, NO FEE! This was preferable to raising all prices and offering cash or debit discounts to the majority of our transactions or eliminating Credit Cards altogether.

Debit cards cost me $.06 cents per transaction on average whether you spend $1 or $1000. Checks are the same cost.

Credit cards cost me $.85 to $1.05 swipe fee plus interchange rate of 1.35% plus Whatever your cash back or mileage cost is. Your Bank DOES NOT PAY YOU CASH BACK they take it from the merchants you shop at to pay you, nothing comes out of their pocket. I have $75 to $85 transactions on my card processing statement that cost me between $3 and $4 BEFORE the swipe fee and interchange rates are applied. I am sorry we had to do this but we have discussed this for many years and the expense has finally become unbearable for us to continue without doing something. I appreciate your willingness to switch to Cash, Debit or Check from now on. Richard.

Fresh seafood for Tuesday will be North Atlantic Cod.
Fresh seafood for Wednesday will be Ora King Salmon, Black Tip Shark, Halibut Cheeks, PEI Mussels and Live Bevan Oysters.
Fresh seafood for Thursday will be Halibut, North Atlantic Monk Fish and Canadian Walleye.
Fresh seafood for Friday will be Pacific Grouper, Scottish Salmon, North Atlantic Cod and Haddock, Wild Gulf Shrimp, Yellow Fin Tuna and U10 Dry Pack Scallops
