Happy Birthday to my sister this week, I don’t think she is 60 yet. We always celebrated her birthday on the 26th until she was in high school and went and got her birth certificate to get a passport and found out she was born on the 27th. Third kid apparently Mom miss remembered the day.

Had Owen today. This afternoon when I was leaving for work Louise said to be quiet, he was making some noise and she wanted him to go back to sleep. I got down the 2nd step and Owen looks up and says “Hi Papa.” I’m sure Louise was chasing him the rest of the afternoon.

Carter and Kenzie played hockey but I got no reports on how they did other than Kenzie was playing goalie.

The hens have been busy. Over 300 eggs so far. Gained over 100 in a week.

Another Championship game loss for the boys in Hockey. We need to figure out how to get them to finish strong.

AJ’s egg count has shot over 200, she gets about 10-12 a day from 16 hens. She has about 5 dozen in her refrigerator before she shared them with the family. The big ones that look like they hurt have double yokes. Owen and his dad eat a lot of eggs. Owen stayed overnight at Nana and Papa’s last night. He didn’t go to bed very well, kept climbing out of the pen and coming out to see what was going on. He is getting too big, 2 in March.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of January 11th

Carter’s team was runner up in his hockey tournament. Played the best teams really well, and beat the teams they should have and even a couple that may have been a little overmatched. Proud parents and grandparents!!

Kenzie played up in Mosinee. She does really well in her skills tests on the ice. She is looking forward to being able to ‘check’ the other team next year. I can see it now, our little girl with no teeth. She’s not as excited about horseback lessons at the moment. I think she gets cold and tired on the horse. She may also see how much work it is to keep up the horse and not want one as much as she did last summer.

AJ reported on Sunday that her tiny human was gone and I said where did he go… she said he had been replaced by a monster that growls and everything. Owen is showing more and more signs of his mother’s behaviors. Grand parents dream. (there’s a reason we called her J Monster as a kid) Anyway Nana was helping Owen put his wooden train together and he didn’t like when Nana would pick up pieces to realign on the track or fix something. She would tell him he needed to learn to share. He eventually tried to take something off the set that Nana was using.. she said ‘No, wait’ and he annoyingly looked at her and said ‘SHARE’

Engagement news: My nephew John is now engaged to Lisa. There were a few about times whispered. Louise was ecstatic said it was like one of her own kids getting engaged. John did spend a lot of time with us growing up.

Owen has learned “NO” pickled herring, getting dressed today, haircut and a couple other things. He has a great laugh, very easy to find him when I play hide and seek with him. Loves sliding with his dad too.

Finally, we made it to the end of 2020. Bless you all for making it.

Owen was helping collect eggs. There were 4 that day, one cracked by the hen, 2 smacked together by Owen and broken and 1 that made it into the house. Not his best day.

Kenzie and I were out on the lake skating Sunday afternoon. She was skating, I was shoveling snow. Didn’t really need the snow shoveled, it wasn’t too deep or hard to skate through.

Carter wants to start horse riding lessons. An even more spoiled grand child, imagine that. Kenzie has had about 6 riding lessons so far. She only went about 1/2 an hour today because it was a new horse that wasn’t used to riding lessons and she had to control it more than Bonnie and Moses the old Amish horses.
