Woke up this morning at 8, raining, went back to bed. Got up at 8:30 dry, breakfast, get Owen dressed leaving for golf, raining. Sat down for a session of Price is Right, stopped raining so Owen you want to go for a walk or golfing. Golfing so off we go. Par on number 1 after hitting a tree, lucky bounce. Mostly 2 putts the rest of the way for bogie or double bogie. Owen thought it was funny when I hit the ball, big laugh. He finally found his over sweet pink lemonade on the 3rd hole and took a sip every time I got out of the cart to hit the ball. On 5 he spotted the geese under the pine tree. on 8 he walked down to the pond instead of following me to the green. Finally on 9 he pressed the gas pedal on the cart. Pretty calm round for a change. Shot 48 for the first time on grass.

Carter was in Chicago playing hockey for the Appleton team. They took 2nd place. Kenzie went to Hayward with dad and Nana to work on the cabin. They were going to make stir fry for dinner but didn’t have a wok. So they stopped at the always busy Walmart. Nana and Kenzie were walking back to the truck and Kenzie said lets walk home. The cabin is about a 1/2 mile from the Walmart. Nana confused Kenzie by telling her they were already on a walk for a wok.

Birthday for me this Wednesday, the big 62.

Baby sister is in turtle mode, mostly sleeping a dirtying diapers. Owen grabbed the stuffed shark when Kenzie got there and chased her saying “da dant, da dant” just like the movie Jaws. AJ is not taking eggs into school any more so she had me take 2 dozen for anyone who wants them. $3 per dozen. She moved the 5 new baby chicks back into the house from the garage to keep them warm this week. The new ones are supposed to lay green and blue eggs.

Speaking of freezer camp, Scott butchered the roosters on Saturday morning, well after he got 3 stitches in his thumb. Apparently the roosters weren’t real excited to go to freezer camp. I think he did 3 or 4. One for AJ and how ever many the baby sitter had. Wasn’t as good a story as I was making up in my head for this.

Carter was playing hockey in Green Bay and sat in the woods youth hunting turkeys with Scott on Sunday. Didn’t hear if he caught one.

Owen is on a tear. He can reach the locks on the door so he can let himself out now. He ate Easter dinner like he hadn’t eaten in weeks. He was in the water at the lake this morning with his cousins. Carter and Kenzie said they wanted to go swimming, I said they could. I knew it was too cold anyway but ankle deep at the boat landing was OK. I even got in. Kenzie was a little put out that I didn’t bring my golf clubs so we could go golfing this morning.

Baby is due April 12th, we are still lobbying for April 3rd so her birthday will be 4-3-21. AJ and the Doctor are a go, just need the baby to cooperate. Jim is even a go, it would give him a couple days to take Owen fishing.

Carter had a 3 on 3 hockey tournament in Marinette over the weekend. Played 6 games, 3 over the guaranteed 3 games. The other Waupaca team won the tournament. Kenzie was a little tired, crabby, we figured too much pool time with the other hockey sisters.

Owen was outside pushing leaves off the deck and going down the little slide on the deck. His mom didn’t send a hat so he had to wear one of mine. Just a little big for him. He kept pointing at the lake and telling me “goose” but there was nothing there. I haven’t figured out what he is up to yet.

Nana was leaving Owen’s house the other day. Owen and the chickens were out in the garden. Owen started to the driveway to give Nana a kiss good bye. As he was running one of the roosters jumped on his back. He didn’t know what happened and just kept coming to Nana. The rooster jumped him again and this time he started to cry, Nana figures mostly because of how she reacted to the rooster. All 3 roosters may be Easter dinner but for sure will be visiting freezer camp before Easter, Owen’s uncles will make sure of that.

Carter had a 3 on 3 tournament and got a silver medal for playing and a gold medal for playing goalie. He played goalie for all the other games he didn’t play in as a skater. Kenzie spent the weekend with Nana. Not enough little hockey sisters for her to spend the weekend at the rink.
