Busy weekend, Fishing with Carter on Saturday after his football game. No perch this week just northern, small bass and a big lawyer. Threw them all back. Sunday bike ride somewhere between 9 and 12 miles at Peninsula State Park in Egg Harbor. Rained on and off up to Sturgeon Bay. Dry while we were riding and started raining as soon as we left the park. Timing was perfect. Lucky the sun didn’t shine, it would have been hot and muggy. Lots of People in in Door county. Nice color on the way up but the park is mostly pine so not much there. Maples are turning in Waupaca but the oak ridges won’t be ready for a week or two.

Only 6 holes golfing with Owen and Sylvi this morning. Was trying to mist but the wind came up and the mist did come on the 6th hole. We went into to the club house and Owen ate his hot dog. Shot double bogie today.

No Golf today, as I often say “I am not a smart as I look” left the clubs in Appleton. Walked the kids today, played catch with Owen while we walked. Owen’s excitement for the day was early on his way over to Nana and Papa’s. AJ hit a deer on the way over so all Owen said all day was Mama hit deer.

Went fishing with Scott on Sunday. Wolf river up stream from Weyauwega. Caught 13 nice perch and 4 northern. One northern was in the 25-28 inch range, let them all go.

No golf today, event at the golf coarse. Louise was working at the Waupaca store so I had both kids today. I can tell they love me, they both had 2 3 wipe diapers. We did go for a walk and visit with the neighbors. Both of them took a good long nap too.

Carter scored a touchdown in his Pop Werner football game. He was on defense at the time and the quarterback held the ball out to hand off to his own running back but the running back went on the other side of him. So Carter took the hand off and ran about 60 yards for a touchdown. Don’t know which player made the mistake but Carter made the right play.

Kenzie preformed with the dance team at last Friday’s Waupaca Comet football game.

Golfing this morning with Owne. Shot 52, would have been better if I hadn’t 3 putted so many holes and launched 3 into the woods. Owen was hitting off the tee box with his putter. He would point and say out there to show me where he was going to hit the ball. He did whack one really hard from 2 feet away on the green. It hit the flag pole and dropped in. I couldn’t believe it as hard as it hit the pin.

Carter is playing Pop Werner football now. They just put the ice in last week for hockey. He read Little Blue Truck to us last night. His mom said he was too far below grade level. Kenzie read Are You My Mother. She is cute how she inflects her voice when she reads.

Sylvi was a little restless today. Couldn’t tell if she was hungry (and growing) or frustrated because she can’t chase me or her brother yet.

Busy Labor Day today. Golf with AJ, Owen, Nancy and Mark. Didn’t start very well, not enough of the circus there. Carter and Kenzie were in Door County camping with the hockey families. Didn’t add up the scores, but Owen was pretty put out that we didn’t call and order a hot dog for him from the 5th tee box. He had 2 pieces of toast before golf and the hot dog after along with a large nutter bar thing and a pink lemonade. School has started so it will be just me and him until November. Guess the hot dog thing is set in stone.

Nap as normal after golf. Then mowed the grass and floated in the lake with Carter and Kenzie after they got home from camping. Water was a little chilly but not bad. Finally got a 5 mile bike ride in, first time in a couple weeks and now back to work.

Live Lobster weekend is September 17-18. Hurricanes are not helping availability so I won’t have a price until probably the 14th. Order early as quantity will help with the price. call 920 734 4905

My little brother Roger passed away on Sunday after a 3 week battle with Covid. GET VACINATED! It could save your life or the life of someone you love. Roger never married (didn’t want to listen to her) he would say but he left behind a large number of friends who thought of him as a brother and a brother and sisters and lots of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. We will miss him.
