Put the Christmas tree up and the first thing Sylvi said was “tree fall down.” It didn’t but I was close. When I moved it from the steps to the window, I didn’t tighten the stand screw. The stand folded together, and I was holding up a 12-foot artificial tree trying to kick the stand back. Nobody was home to witness this, but Sylvi was almost right.

When Owen’s Dad picked the kids up today, he went out on the ice to check thickness. Owen was watching from the house with Nana and Sylvi. He was really concerned that dad would fall through the ice.

Hockey over the weekend. Didn’t get a report. Will see if I can make some games next weekend.

Camp Nana last night. Owen and Sylvi spent the day Sunday and stayed overnight. They must both be heading for a growth spurt. They ate Nana out of house and home. Spaghetti last night. Seconds all around.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. Walked with AJ and the kids on Thanksgiving and Friday. Owen doesn’t jump cracks in the road with me. We crossed a patch of road that was shaded by trees and had ice on it. I told Owen to tell his dad that I thought I saw a fish swimming under the ice.

Sylvi was crabby on Sunday, so I took her home with me. She fell asleep halfway home and when we went back to her house for dinner she was running and happy.

Hockey even happens during deer season. Both Carter and Kenzie had games both of the last two weekends.

Going to Owen and Sylvi’s for dinner, turned on their road and a large flock of turkeys was crossing the road into their yard. Stopped and called AJ to tell them to look out the window. AJ said they were chickens, then “wow” look outside. Took them a little while to filter through the yard and up the hill.

Carter is back from Washington. Only saw cow elk no bulls to shoot. Scott shot a nice buck and Jim has 2 does so far. Owen and Sylvi will be eating this winter.

BBQ Club meeting is Wednesday 11/16 at the Stoneyard in Greenville from 6-8 PM. All are welcome. Should be lots of discussion about how everyone will cook their turkey. No cost to attend.

No golf on my traditional last day of outdoor golf today. Sylvi was sick so we stayed home and cuddled. Owen was back in preschool today after being sick last week. Hopefully will have Owen out on the ice skating soon. Kenzie had a couple hockey games over the weekend. She “almost” scored.

Carter is out in Washington state hunting with his dad. He has a youth tag that allows him to take an elk, deer, bear or cougar. He is hoping for a cougar.
