Only 6 holes of golf for me and Sylvi this morning. Late start, had to pick up Owen at preschool. Shot 34 on the 6 holes. One birdie, one par, and 10 on the par 5 number 5 and I didn’t even lose a ball in the woods. Tree branches in front of the green is what got me. Sylvi wouldn’t wear her hat, she had a “pretty” (rubber band) in her hair.

Took AJ, Owen and Kenzie fishing yesterday. Beautiful day on the Wolf River. Several bites, only caught one small white bass. Owen was mad at his mom for not bringing his little fishing pole. Lots of boats on the river both fishing and pleasure.

Leaf color report for Waupaca: Swamp soft maples are mostly done. Highland hard maples and ash are at peak. Oak ridges are a couple weeks out.

Golfing with Sylvi this morning. Shot 50, two pars only one launched into the woods. Sylvi is getting better at finding my ball. Yes, the last week of September. Tuesday is our 42nd wedding anniversary. Played golf this morning with my Sister and BIL and Sylvi. Only got 6 holes in because I had to pick up Owen at preschool. 33 was my score, Mark and Nancy were slightly higher. Some nice putts, 12+ feet were made and some close chips also. Just a little windy this morning.

Nice bike ride at Peninsula State Park on Saturday. We ride the right direction so we go down the scary hill, not up. Pizza at one barrel after. Dropped my Waupaca bike on the highway on the way home. I am sure the bike shop will not want to fix it. Looks like I will be shopping a new bike and carrier.

Played golf with my sister and brother-in-law this morning. Sylvi rode along for a couple holes before Nana picked her up to go pick up Owen at school. Played at Foxfire, outing at Hidden Waters today. I shot 52 on the longer and a little tougher course, more dog legs. Should be the 4 of us next Monday at Hidden Waters.

Biking on Saturday and Sunday. Rode with AJ and the kids to Two Rivers on Saturday. Qwen talked the whole trip, both ways. His mom asked him to be quiet, he just said “I like to talk.” He got wet in the lake again. Sylvi didn’t care for the waves. Sunday biked in Stevens Point Green Circle trail. Becki, Carter and Kenzie were with us on Sunday.

AJ got a picture of a Black Bear about 2 miles from home one night last week. Scotty has been feeding a bear all summer and hunting him for 2 weeks hasn’t seen him. Still some time left in the bear season.

Hope you all had a great Labor Day Holiday. We were busy here thank you very much. I golfed on Monday morning with the family. Five golfers, 4 riders. I shot 46, same as son in law Jim. Nephew John shot 45. AJ and Scottie were just over 50. Owen had a couple nice putts. Fishing in the afternoon with Carter after a little clean up at the house. One big Catfish and a sheep head. Through them both back. Little disappointing based on weather and cow activity.
