Cold morning of golf today, 45 degrees. Sylvi hit a nice one off the first tee box. I said go get it. She said “No, we have to drive to it.” Only played 6 holes then went in for Hot Dogs. Then went home to plant plants. Sunday, I asked Sylvi if she had a green thumb after she was showing me all the pots she helped her mom plant. She held her thumb up and said No.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for the week of May 5th

Sad news in the Niemuth family again. After 67 years of service to the Waupaca Community the butcher shop that my mom and dad started will be closing on Monday May 5th. Niemuth’s Steak and Chop Shop has been a treasured part of Waupaca even if it was a little hard to find on the North side of town. I am not able to take it over due to many factors, age, health, Louise’s passing among others. We are a separate business here in Appleton and WILL NOT BE CLOSING. We have been working with an Amish kitchen to make potato salad for us. It is a very similar recipe and will be a great option to replace the Waupaca potato salad. Amish planted and harvested potatoes and onions, local Amish free-range eggs and the mayo is made with real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. Those who have tasted it say it is very similar to Waupaca potato salad.

Thank you for your patience as we work through having our big bunker cooler out of commission. If you can’t find something you would normally buy from there please ask. We are happy to show you where to find things.

Store Hours are 10-6 Sunday-Tuesday, 10-7 Wednesday and Thursday and 9-7 Friday and Saturday.

Fresh seafood for Tuesday will be Canadian Perch, Canadian Walleye and Atlantic Cod after 4 PM and Scallop Stuffed Sole.
Fresh seafood for Wednesday will be Ora King Salmon, Halibut Cheeks and Live Bevan Oysters.
Fresh seafood for Thursday Halibut
Fresh seafood for Friday will be Soft Shell Blue Crab, Scottish Salmon, North Atlantic Cod and Haddock, Pacific Grouper, Yellow Fin Tuna, Wild Gulf Shrimp and Live Bevan Oysters.

Soft Shell Crabs are limited. If I have enough orders I will try to get more. 920 734 4905

Order Live Lobster, Clams and Oysters by 4 PM Tuesday for Wednesday and 4 PM Thursday for Friday delivery. 920 734 4905

First round of golf with Sylvi, my sister and b-i-l today. Sylvi gets one on every hole, I was double bogie on the 6 we played before the rain came. Had hotdogs in the clubhouse before we went home. My sister is embracing retirement; she hit them better than she ever has.

Went to Ramp Fest at B and E’s Trees on Sunday out near Viroqua. Interesting day in the woods. Ramps were good eating. They tap 4200 trees each year.
