Sorry I missed last week, I was in Canada Fishing. Last year was windy, 1-2 foot waves this year like glass most of the week. Hard fishing both ways. Ate a couple fish fry and brought home 6 walleye and a nice crappie caught by accident. Great weather for our round of golf.

Only Sylvi left to golf with me today, everyone else is in school. Sylvi has PM 4K. The bus was supposed to be there at 11:30 but never showed. Mostly 6s for me, one par 3.

Good luck deer hunters. We make your own meat sticks, sausage and hot dogs. Bring your venison trim in now.

The Wild Mushroom Guy was just here dropped off 10 pounds of Hen of the Woods. Also have Hedge Hog, Red Lobster and another real pretty one that I don’t remember the name of. Chicken of the woods. Check out the pictures on our Facebook page.

Looks like we are welcoming Fall in before Labor Day. One more week of Waupaca Sweet Corn. It has been going fast each Thursday.

Big golf day today, my sister, daughter in law, son and 4 grand kids. All of us had a couple good hits and putts. Playing again on Labor Day Monday. Then the kids are back in school so it will only be me and Sylvi until November. She has afternoon 4K.

BBQ Club has been rescheduled for Wednesday August 20th 6-8 PM here in the parking lot of the Store. Rained out in July. We cook lots of great things, enjoy a few beverages and each other’s company talking smoke. We will be cooking some Japanese A5 steaks and lots of other things. $10 donation is asked to offset expenses. Stop on down.

Waupaca Sweet Corn and Local grown Tomatoes will be available for a limited time.

Riding bike with Owen and Sylvi. Went around the block, almost 4 miles. Owen on 2 wheels and Sylvi on Training wheels, but we should take them off.

Nice round of golf this morning with Becki, Kenzie, Owen and Sylvi. Everyone was hitting and putting well. Kenzie had a couple off the tee box about 100 yards. Owen just missed a 20 foot putt. Owen is playing Soccer again. They all keep begging to go ice skating. Owen rode his bike without training wheels on Sunday.

Two of three new refrigeration units are up and running. Trying to refill the bunker in the middle of the store. Much bigger than the old one. New freezer doors should be operating by the end of the week. Stop in and see the improvements. Niemuth’s 2.0

Nice week of Musky fishing in Canada last week. Small Walleyes all week. Slow and lazy muskies until Tuesday, started hitting and following on Tuesday. Got one in the boat on Wednesday and 3 in 1/2 an hour on Thursday night. Didn’t get my musky in the boat, he released the walleye I had on the hook before we could net him. Smoky up there just like here.

Big round of golf this morning, 8 of us on the course, 5 playing and the little ones hitting off the tee box and putting.

Construction report from Niemuth’s

Old refrigeration is taken out. New refrigeration is rolled in and ready to be set up. We ARE open and doing the best we can under the circumstances. Alma posted some pictures to Facebook, check it out. Service meat case should be up by end of day Wednesday. Middle bunker might be ready for the weekend. Freezer doors where the cheese case used to be, will be up and running next week.

Lots of pizza and sausage in the beer cooler with the cheese. Please ask us if you can’t find something.
