Picked up Carter after school today. He got in the back seat where a box of walleye spinners was on his seat. He grabbed them quick and said he would put them in his tackle box. He sorts and inventories his tackle box at least once a week. A couple weeks ago he had to show me everything he had in the box while we were driving back to Appleton. Took the whole trip.

Kenzie was golfing with me as usual on Monday. We played with my Nephew and Brother in Law. After the round the guy playing behind us pulled up as I was parking the cart and said he wanted one of those as he pointed at Kenzie. He was impressed with Kenzie getting the ball out of the hole for me and raking the sand traps and filling the divots on the tee boxes. He said his daughter was getting married this summer so hopefully he would have a golfing partner like mine. I should have showed him the picture of Kenzie in her car seat strapped to the golf cart before she was 1.

Fishing with Scott on Sunday on the Flambeau Flowage, that’s way up north. Caught 3 little Walleye, 5 nice small mouth bass and a northern. Threw them all back go grow a little more. Nice but chilly day on the water. We could see the sunshine down south. Kenzie and I went golfing this morning. She was more interested in hitting the ball than normal and putting too.

Hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day, nice one at the Niemuth’s, shish ka Bob and Brats. Took Carter, Kenzie and AJ Fishing today on Lake Michigan in Sheboygan. Got just outside the harbor with the lines out and hooked a King Salmon. AJ reeled it in while I handled the boat. Carter and Kenzie were pretty impressed with a 14 pound Salmon. Had 2 more on but didn’t hook them well enough to land them. The boys wanted to come along also but couldn’t, so we will probably have to go again.

Both boat batteries were dead so I had to pull start the motor to start it and we had a flat tire on the boat trailer in Chilton on the way home. Still a good day on the lake.

Kenzie, AJ and I were golfing this morning, my 2nd time on grass so far. Kenzie hit the ball and putted on the first 2 holes then kinda lost interest. AJ is signing up for lessons. She plays left handed and I can’t help her much except she was rocking back on her heels instead of keeping her toes down. She took one more or less than I hit on each hole and used her shoe on a couple holes.

I was working on a couple young boys on Saturday about Mother’s day and cleaning their room, breakfast in bed for mom and some other stuff. The dad said I was preaching to deaf ears. After they left the next lady in line asked if I would do the Mother’s day speech for her 19 year old daughter if she sent her in.

Carter had another good day in school today. I told him over the weekend that he should tell his teacher he needs Monday’s off the rest of the year for golfing and fishing. He told me when I picked him up today that an adult has to ask for a student to miss school. He left his back pack in my truck so Nana had to run it back to Waupaca for him.

Kenzie and Nana baked a birthday cake for me on Sunday. Kenzie always has fun playing in the “play flour” while Nana bakes. It usually ends up all over everything. She told Nana to hurry up so Papa doesn’t see the cake. She wanted it to be a surprise.
