A long and dusty trip to Indiana over the weekend. Started with a run up to my other sister’s house in Tomahawk before ending up in Indiana, don’t ask.

Successful hunting 6 mule deer in Utah and by brother in law got his elk in Colorado too.

No grandkids or golfing this week, back to normal next week. Might have to scrap the frost off the golf cart next Monday.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of October 16th

Becki has her buck already Mule Deer hunting in Utah. She planned to shoot one right away and take the kids sightseeing. They are going to see the Golden Spike and ride the train home. Aaron hasn’t gotten one yet, only one day of hunting in so far. We tease Becki about letting Aaron keep going back and not shooting anything. He says if he shoots one then he can’t go back.

No golf today, took my boat up to Hayward to park in the garage for the winter. Oaks are still looking good and a few maples but a lot of bare trees across highway 8 and up to Hayward. Wausau to Merrill area was pretty nice. Waupaca to Wild Rose Oaks should be best next weekend.

Koval Whiskey tasting on Thursday 10-19 3-6 PM. Bourbon, Rye, Oat and 4 Grain Whiskey. Oat is my favorite. Koval Gift packs are in also!

Sorry for the delay, I lost control of my keyboard in the middle of the message on Monday night.

I have been corrected, twice. I was telling Becki about talking to Kenzie about her trip to Utah deer hunting and Kenzie stopped me (again) and said “No Papa Mule deer hunting not deer hunting.) Apparently I need to get the story straight.

Carter was home with me from school today. He had his tonsils out last Thursday and was not quite up for school today. We didn’t go golfing, I thought it was a little chilly for him to be out on the golf coarse. I got 7 miles in on the bike before cutting the grass.

Your invited to the first annual Health and Wellness fair on Saturday 10-14 at the Community Early Learning center at 313 S State Street near downtown Appleton. Admission is free but donations will be matched by Orthopedic Spine Therapy. Event is 10-3 on Saturday the 14th. I have a flyer at the store if you need one.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of October 2nd

Go to bandestrees.com to order the bourbon barrel aged maple syrup. They will be bottling in October and shipping in November. You can order from their website for pick up at my store. You will be notified when the syrup is available and pay when you pick it up here. Scroll down on their home page to the 2017 reservation box and fill in the form. Select Niemuth’s Southside Market for your pick up location.

The stop lights are turned on at Calumet, the Appleton website says east Calumet should be finished today, Monday. They have it marked for painting and the painting buggy out, looks like they might have it open tonight yet. West on Calumet from Oneida says 10/4 on the Appleton Website. Its blacktopped and might need a little paint to open.

Midway road should open this week from 114 on the South up to festival foods but is still closed for another week up to Midway. Midway Southbound is supposed to open next week but then they will close Northbound from Midway until December 1st.

Then everything starts over next March.

Beautiful day on the golf coarse today. I wore a sweatshirt but it was almost too warm for a sweatshirt. Back down to earth, shot 48 today. Didn’t shoot well around the greens.

No colored leaves out in Waupaca yet, I will let you know when. A customer was up north to see the colors and there was none. He found 3 leaves total in color.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of September 25th

Oneida Street is open from College Ave to the 441 Bridge. Oneida Street will be closing for the weekend starting at 8 PM on Friday 9/29 until Monday morning 10-2 according to the State website. Last time they announced a closure like this it wasn’t closed tight for the whole weekend but plan accordingly. We are seeing much more traffic in the store since Oneida Street opened.

Calumet street is scheduled to open on Friday 9/29. Yippee

Played 10 holes of golf, Shot 43 on the first 9 this morning. Beautiful day on the golf coarse for the end of September. Boys were playing in the water yesterday but I couldn’t convince them to bring the swim dock in.

Store hours are Monday-Saturday 9-9 and Sunday 10-6. Party of 100,000 downtown on Saturday, we are open all day if you go downtown or not.
