We are mourning the loss of our valued employee Steve Witthuhn. He passed quickly and unexpectedly on Wednesday June 16th. If you are so inclined we will be matching $1000 of Round Up donations at our check out for his family. Steve will be missed and we wish his family peace and health in their grief.

No golf this morning, Chamber outing. We went for a walk instead. Owen walked most of the way. We planted some pumpkin seeds in the corn field, don’t tell Dick. Carter and Kenzie went swimming in the lake after our walk.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of June 14th

Shot 47 today, playing really well up to the 7th when Carter and Owen went into the club house for hot dogs. 5 over par for the first 6 holes then 7 over par on the last 3. Guess the circus didn’t work for me this week.

All Baseball this weekend, Carter in Menasha Saturday and Sunday. They lost to the best team in the tournament Sunday morning. If they had started the game in the 2nd inning they would have won. Terrible 1st inning. Kenzie’s team was 2 innings from taking 3rd in the Waupaca tournament. They played from 9 AM until 6 PM straight through, no breaks. Pretty good for 8 year olds.

Scott butchered chickens on Saturday. Must have been uneventful, didn’t get any stories of run away chickens or cut fingers. He butchered somewhere in the mid 70’s and has about 1/2 of them sold so far. Call him at 920 851 0938 if you are interested in any birds.

Had 3 grand kids golfing with me today, must have been good luck because I shot 42, my best in a long time. Don’t tell my kids, it won’t help me when I tell them I should be playing from the gold tees. No Birdies but 5 pars including one chipped in from the fringe. Carter hit some nice shots, no baseball leg lift on the back swing. He does like the right field foul ball off the tee.

Had Owen in the lake Sunday. He had a hard start falling face down in the water so he sat on the dock with his mom for a while. Then he threw Mom’s water cup in the water and Mom put him in the water to go get it. Then it became a game and he was fine with the water. He was fishing with his Dad before we got him in the water. Caught a few small bluegills, let them all go.

Played in the Niemuth open golf tournament Monday morning. My sister and brother in law played for the first time this year along with my daughter and youngest son and spouses, 7 of us total. This is a Papa always wins tournament but Jim took honors this year with a 49. I shot 51. Owen and Sylvi were ride alongs. Sylvi slept the whole round. Owen spent the first 1/2 of the round trying to run back to his mom’s cart.

AJ and Jim took Owen fishing on Sunday. He was in the kayak with his mom and looked back at her and said “Shhhh! Be Quiet!” And the look, it was a pretty funny video.

Carter and Kenzie were up north with friends.

Number 8 he found a worm in the puddle that he had to throw in the pond. Louise said “so you let him crawl in the mud again.” Apparently he was a little dirty when we got home. Baptized baby sister on Sunday. She did a little spin on the blanket already.

Scott will have his first batch of chickens ready in Mid June.

Day of fishing in Hayward on Saturday. Took Kenzie out Sat morning in a sprinkling rain. She didn’t like the boat ride out but she was a trooper fishing even though we didn’t catch anything. She should have come with us on the Chippewa Flowage for the evening session. Caught 6 walleye and missed about that many more.

Took Owen golfing this morning. Busy day on the coarse, 2 in front of us and we caught up to a 4 some with several singles behind. Forgot Owen’s putter so we played kind of fast today. Shot 46, pretty good for me. If I would have made the shots the first time I putted a 12 and 25 footer in for birdies on the 2nd ball and was just inches from chipping in a bird on the first ball. Owen was in and out of the cart and mud and spilled his lemonade all over. Normal day of golf.

Carter’s team made it to the championship game again in Chicago but didn’t win again. He is playing with an Appleton traveling team so some of you may have seen him play.
