Carter learned about a new piece of furniture this week.  Becki got a coffee table from one of her step brothers.  Carter explained what it was to NahNah by putting his hand over his mouth and coughing.  (Coughing table is what he said.)

I ordered 1 bottle of 2009 French Domaine Raspail-Ay Gigondas a $40.00 retail bottle very highly rated and very rare, only 20 cases allocated to all of Wisconsin.  I was billed for 1 bottle they shipped me one case, 12 bottles.  I have already called them to pick it up next week but I am willing to sell it this weekend if you are interested.  Stop in and get them.  NONE will be opened for tasting unless you pay for it first.

I found the 07 and 08 versions selling for between $34 and $40 online.  I will sell the 2009 bottles that I have for 32.99 each.

Here is the description from the wholesaler:  Potentially the finest Gigondas made here since their sublime  1978, the 2009 exhibits gorgeously sweet black currant, kirsch, and mineral notes intermixed with hints of cigar box and forest floor.  Full-bodied with elegance married to considerable substance and power, a beautifully textured mouth feel, and a long, heady finish, this will be a long lived Gigondas.

Spring is here and Carter is enthrolled with motorcycles.  He sits on AJ’s moped and makes the motocycle sounds.  I think he could go for an hour or longer if I let him. 

We took grandma (my mom) and Carter over to New London to visit the sturgeon as they were spawning.  We were trying to remember the first time she took us kids to see the sturgeon spawning.  It would have been probably 68 or 69.  Dan Folz was one of the DNR guys catching and tagging sturgeon back then.  That was the roots of today’s sturgeon management.  We did mention that the big ones were probably as old as my mom, she punched me on the arm.  Carter wasn’t too impressed.

AJ on the other hand doesn’t think spring is here.  She is in the pool for April 7th for a snow storm.  She didn’t have an over or under for 6 inches.  Blame her if we have snow on Easter.

Happy Birthday to my mother today, 84.  She cried last night when we sang happy birthday to her.

Carter and I had a busy day today.  We went for a walk then a bike ride.  After lunch we went to Tustin fishing.   He had most of the water from the minnow bucket on his shirt and pants.  No need to worry about the fish.  They are all fine, safe in the Wolf River and Lake Poygan.  We didn’t catch any fish Sunday on the Wolf or Monday on Poygan.  My brothers were teasing me about ordering more fish because I didn’t catch any.
