My new grand daughter Kenzie Marie Niemuth was born on Wednesday September 26th.  7 pounds 2 oz, 20.5 inches.  September 26th would have been my mom and dad’s 54th wedding anniversary.  So far Carter is happy to have a baby sister.

Great week to take a road trip and enjoy the fall leaf colors.  Maple and aspen are full color around Waupaca with the oaks very close.

Cook with Fox River BBQ competition team on Saturday Oct 6th.  Call me to sign up for rib class this Saturday.  We will be cooking ribs, chicken and other stuff as well as offering wine pairings.  Class cost is $35.00 and you take home a seasoned rib to cook.  If you just want to enjoy some pulled pork sandwiches or BBQ ribs we will be serving them in the parking lot from 10 – 2 on Saturday.  734 4905 to reserve your spot.

I am working on a holiday layaway program.  Call me if you have items that you would like to put on layaway.  I am thinking lobster, crab, shrimp and scallops.  Rib Roast, dry aged and prime steaks.  1/2 cases or cases of wine and liquor and speciality beers.  Gift Certificates also.  Call me with your suggestions.

Brat Flavors will be Beer and onion and Plain in Pork and Whiskey Peppercorn in Chicken.  Hot Italian pork brats are also available.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of September 24th

My sister Janet who moved back from Anchorage Alaska last month started her new job today with the same company in Chicago.  Hopefully she doesn’t become a Bears fan.

Carter’s baby sister should be here by the end of the week.  Stop in this weekend to see pictures of the proud papa and his two grandchildren.

Have fun at Octoberfest this weekend.  Stop by the boy scouts troop 127 stand for a brat and a rootbeer.

Saturday Oct 6th we will have our rib school and other stuff in the parking lot at the store.  Cook with BBQ competition cooks Todd and Jon from Fox River BBQ competition team.  Cost is $35.00 includes a seasoned back rib to take home.  Call 734 4905 or stop in to sign up.

If you only want to eat some BBQ stop by 10 – 2  on Sat Oct 6th for a pulled pork sandwich or rack of ribs served hot off the grill.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of Septmeber 17th

Thank you for another great live lobster weekend.  Sold 55 lobsters mostly 1 1/2 pounders but we had one order of 3 pounders that were almost 4 pounds each.

Took Carter and his dad fishing on Sunday afternoon.  Caught about 20 nice bluegills and threw them all back.  We were hoping for perch, guess I’ll just have to stick to Winnebago.  Dan, a customer, and I caught 23 nice perch on Winnebago last week.

Found some nice looking mushrooms on our walk this morning.  Carter wanted to take them home but I wouldn’t let him.  Wrong kind if mushrooms.

Last week for Waupaca Sweet Corn.  I have 5 dozen ordered, call before Wednesday afternoon if you want to order quanity, 734 4905.  I also have a mixed box of squash coming.

Fresh seafood for Tuesday will be Mahi Mahi.

3-2-1 BBQ school offered Saturday 10 – 6

3-2-1 BBQ school is scheduled for Saturday October 6th.  Pulled Pork sandwiches and Competiton Ribs will be available  for sale in our parking lot from 10 til 2 or Cook with the Cooks for $35 per person and take home a seasoned pork back rib ready to cook, $15 value.  Cook with spots are limited, sign up early.

You will be cooking ribs, chicken, shrimp and salmon on the grill with local competition BBQ chefs.  Lots of food and other refreshments will be available.  Cook with times are 9 am to 1 pm.

Stop in the store to sign up for cook with the 3-2-1 BBQ school.

Sorry I didn’t get this out last night.  We went to the Brewers game to be part of Chipper Jones retirement tour.  Nice 4-1 win by the Brewers, 32k plus in attendance.  Didn’t get home til 1 am.

Carter is eagerly awaiting the birth of his little sister in 3 or 4 weeks.  Boy is his life going to change.

Live Lobster weekend is this weekend Friday and Saturday Sept 14 – 15. 

 Prices are set, call 734 4905 to order by 4 pm Wednesday.  I will have a few extra lobsters but don’t count on getting them, call early. 

1.25 pounders are $9.99 lb 

1.5 pounders are $11.99 lb

2 and 3 pounders are 12.99 lb

Whole large Local (Larsen) farm raised chickens are scheduled for the week of September 17th.  Exact delivery date to be determined.  Average weight will be 8 – 14 pounds, cost is $2.50 per pound.  Call 734 4905 to reserve yours.  They sold out fast last year.

Apparently there was no good sweet corn in the farmers market last week end.  Everybody stopped in on Saturday afternoon and bought me out and left orders for 8 dozen for This week.  If you want to add to the sweet corn orders call by 4 pm on Wednesday for Thursday pick up.
