Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of November 5th

Carter and I continued a Niemuth Tradition that started 4 years ago on the Monday before the election, we went golfing.  The last round of golf my dad played with me was on Monday before the election in 2008.  Treasure the happy memories.  It was 70 + degrees that day, not quite that nice today.  Today I pared the first and last hole, dropped a ball through the ice on 4 and put up a snowman on 5.  Over all a great day of golf.

I also got a nap in this afternoon with Kensie.  Should have both grandchildren beginning next week.

Speaking of elections Tuesday only election day we are offering 1/2 off any bottle of wine or 12 pack of beer (except closeouts) with purchase of 2 Niemuth’s homemade pizzas or $15 of meat, cheese or seafood.  Limit one offer per household.  Enjoy the election returns Tuesday night, hopefully it will be settled before January.  I was trying to figure out how to use Ronald Reagan’s “Morning in America”  but knowing the 2016 campaign stars Wednesday I don’t see a bright side for any of us.

Jambalaya in the parking lot today

Jambalaya House is in the parking lot serving Hot Jambalaya and other stuff.    Serving between 11 and 5 today, Friday 11-2.

Happy Halloween.  Carter is going trick or treating as curious george.  His dad needs a little help with the “man in the yellow hat” costume.  I don’t think Kensie is going trick or treating yet.

Scariest thing I can think of this week is a big Hurricane on the east coast.  Won’t bother the big stores, they will just thaw out more fish.  I will be shopping the west coast and Hawaii for the next couple weeks for fresh fish.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of October 22nd

What a good weekend of BBQ at Niemuth’s.  I have 4 racks of baby back ribs left and about 5 pounds of pulled pork.  Sold over 40 racks of ribs, 25 pounds of pulled pork and 50 pounds of chicken.  Watch for our prime rib and holiday appitizer cook out the first week in December.

Carter,  John and I got a round of golf in today.  I won by 2 strokes so this might be the last round.  It took most of the summer but Carter hit a couple balls about 30 feet all by himself today.  I have been showing him how to hold the club, spread his feet and swing in rhythm all summer.  Kenzie will be with me and Carter in about 3 weeks when Becky goes back to work.  I told Carter today that we will start taking naps again, he didn’t think that was a good idea.
