Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of Sept 2nd

Opening week of NFL football!  What do you think, Packers 3 and 0 or 0 and 3 at the bye?

Carter rides for miles and miles on his 2 wheel bike.  He tried a tricycle over the weekend and crashed.  Bloody lip, loose teeth, marks galore and hurt pride.  Wasn’t on my watch, he was with his mom and dad at the time.

Kenzie didn’t get the marks but she dumped the gate on top of herself that was keeping her from going up the steps.  Scared her more than anything.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of August 26th

Labor day hours will be 9-9 Monday – Saturday and 10 – 6 both Sunday and Monday Labor Day.

Carter had a pretty good week last week.  He has become an entreperner.  Becki was weeding the flower beds in the back yard while Carter was playing with his dump truck in the sand.  Becki suggested that Carter haul the weeds to the woods and dump them.  He said it would cost her 5 per load.  She paid 5 cents for the first 2 loads before the dump truck had to go to the garage and rest.  Carter played a little while then came back with the dump truck but now it will cost 8 to haul weeds.  Becki asked why 8 cents now and Carter said because the price of gas had gone up.

Appleton East had its first home football game on Friday night.  Aaron has coached since he graduated in 01.  Carter got to play football with the other coaches boys during the game and went on the field for the post game speach after the game.

Saturday was Waupaca County Fair day for Carter and Kenzie.  Besides seeing all the animals and going on a few rides Carter got to compete in the peddle tractor pull and got a ribbon.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of August 12th

2nd wedding in two weeks survived.  Had lunch at New Holland Brewing Co in Holland MI, one of our better beers.  Food was good but service was very slow, almost late for the wedding.  Carter would take the girls out to the dance floor then abandon them there.  Then they would come after him and he would play shy.  These were my cousin’s girls mostly in their 20’s and kids of their own.

NaNa had a surprise on Thursday after taking Carter to swiming lessons.  He took his wet swim suit off and went potty.  He came back to the living room buck n-a-k-e-d (have to do that to get it past filters)  She asked what he thought he was doing?  He told her it was play n-a-k-e-d day.  Hopefully we get a little notice the next time it comes around so we can all participate.

We haven’t golfed on Monday the last 2 weeks because I had to work at the store.  Carter’s golf game has greatly improved in that time.  He hit the ball very nicely off the tee, about 30 feet and in the air on his best shots and said he won every hole because he putted his ball in the hole first.

Harold who owns Hidden Waters Golf Coarse where we play golf on Monday Mornings got several comments from other golfers today surprised to see how I strap Kensie to the golf cart when we go golfing.  I told him I thought he should do a thing in the Picture Post on our golfing but that he probably wouldn’t want a lot of kids riding along on the golf carts.  It is the best way to get new customers, start the kids golfing young.

Thank you for your support and understanding last week when the power was out on Wednesday and Thursday morning.  The meter reader was in about 10 minutes after the power came back on and asked if we had power yet?  Lights were on and motors running what do you think?  Health inspector was in about 1/2 hour after the power came back on.  She was impressed with the measures we took to keep product cold and speed at which we disposed of product that got to warm.  Hopefully the shelves will be filled by the end of the week.
Richard.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of August 5th

Aaron and Scott have an elk and bear hunt scheduled for early November in Washington state.  Scott realized on the way up to Alaska that the mountains are pretty steep and he is a little out of shape for chasing elk and bear up and down the mountains.  Got a walk around the block on him Sunday night in his new hiking boots.

My brother in law Dave got married on Saturday and Nah Nah and I had Kenzie while Carter, Aaron and Becki went to Family night at Lambeau.  We had my niece’s 13 year old son walking Kenzie in the stroller to get her to go to sleep.  It was funny watching him with 4 of his girl cousins following him walk back and forth for at least an hour and a half.  Needless to say Kenzie and Carter didn’t go to sleep until after midnight on Saturday.  I had them again on Sunday night while Aaron and Becki went out for dinner with the football coaches.  Neither of them went to sleep until after 11 PM on Sunday night.  I worked on Monday so Aaron had to deal with them.

Another wedding this weekend.  We’ll see if either of them sleep again this week.

My sister Janet didn’t last a year back in the lower 48.  I flew to Seattle last August to drive with her back to Wisconsin.  She worked for a unit of her Alaska employer in west Chicago for almost a year but left last Wednesday to go back to Anchorage.  She didn’t get enough hours and couldn’t afford Chicago.  She is going back to Anchorage to work for her previous employer.    My youngest son Scott is driving up with her.   He has survived his Aunt’s driving with cruise control in the mountains and two flat tires on the trailer.  They are going Halibut fishing tomorrow and looking for an apartment for Janet on Wednesday.  Got to have your priorities right.

I have 10 dozen fresh sweet corn ordered for Thursday.  This is first week harvest for Grace, she said it might be a little better in a week or two.  Hold your orders for canning and freezing for a couple weeks for the best sweet corn.  Tomatoes should be ready by then also.
