Happy Birthday to Kenzie, one year old this week.  She has been resisting walking so far but did 3 steps for me today.  She was practicing for her own birthday on Sunday when she had cake with blue icing and ice cream for her mom’s birthday.  Needless to say she looked like she had been fed with a sling shot and needed a bath before she could be sent home. 

Carter and Kenzie had a sleep over with Nana on Friday so Aaron and Becki could go duck hunting on Saturday.  Nana took a nap on Saturday afternoon after they left and the ducks are all still safe and sound.  I suggested duck for Becki’s birthday dinner on Sunday, we had lasagna, apparently a lot easier to bag.

Carter and Kenzie went to Quarry Quest on Saturday.  Lots of sand piles to play in and lots more equipment to ride on with shorter lines.  Carter had a ball.

Carter had a little “incident” in pre school last week.  He was aparently a little loud in class and his teacher was looking for his volumn button.  He told her it was on his toe.  Can’t wait until the Chirstmas program where he will be the loud one in the front row.  I told Aaron that Carter is a grand parent’s dream, just as bad as our own kids.  Aaron said mom told him he wasn’t that bad.

I was driving across North Dakota and Minnesota on Sunday afternoon.  Dropped Louise off in Kalispell Montana for a Habitat Build on Saturday, she will be home next Saturday.  All I could get on the radio was the Vikings game and post game.  Boy did they turn on Ponder fast.  Many of the callers/fans were calling for his replacement.  Only heard the end of 2 plays in the Packer game, finally got the last hour of the post game show when I got to Minneapolis.

Kenzie is starting to walk, mostly just 2 or 3 steps so far but she did 5 for me today.

Carter rides for miles and miles on his 2 wheel bike.  He tried a tricycle over the weekend and crashed.  Bloody lip, loose teeth, marks galore and hurt pride.  Wasn’t on my watch, he was with his mom and dad at the time.

Kenzie didn’t get the marks but she dumped the gate on top of herself that was keeping her from going up the steps.  Scared her more than anything.
