Almost Spring!  Well maybe, -17 tonight but +30 on Thursday, that’s a 50 degree swing.  Had a customer in last week that saw a robin and not in Florida.  I was thinking about getting the  robin decoys out to hurry spring along.

Carter and Kenzie were at a birthday party on Saturday afternoon at Skate City.  Carter was roller blading about as good as he ice skates.  A lot less falling to stop himself on wheels.  No padding like at hockey practice.  Kenzie didn’t skate but she must have put on at least 2 miles walking around and checking out the other birthday parties.

Fresh seafood for Wednesday will be Ora King salmon and Alaska True Cod.  You won’t believe how white the cod is.

Fresh seafood for Thursday will be Chilean Sea Bass and Canadian Walleye.

Fresh seafood for Friday will be Sole, Crab Stuffed Sole, Scottish Salmon, Atlantic Haddock, Canadian Perch, PEI Mussels, Yellowfin Tuna and Moose Island Scallops.  The scallops are from a controlled harvest area in Maine and only available for 4 to 6 weeks.  Better tasting. Very good sellers the last couple years.

Specials @ niemuth’s for week of February 3rd

What a great weekend, lots of Ground Hogs Day eve parties on Saturday, rotten sunshine doomed us to 6 more weeks of Winter on Sunday.  I’m over it (maybe) no snow in the 7 day forecast.  Looking forward to Sturgeon Spearing this weekend and Valentine’s Day next week Friday.

Good Luck Sturgeon Spearers, looks like a good season starting Saturday, solid ice and clear water. 

Carter had his skate around at the Waupaca High School hockey game on Friday night.  Still no interest in the puck but skates like a mad man.

Haven’t decided on Kenzie yet.  She was doing figure skating moves and twisting a broom stick, may be a baton twerler.  We’ll see how she does swimming, biking and golfing this summer.  Yes she will be on the bike by the end of summer, 2 years old.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for Superbowl week January 27th

Nothing is safe in the house any more.  Sorry didn’t mean to sound alarmist but Kenzie can now reach the door handles and open the door.  No more shutting the doors to keep her out or in.  Now the TP is all over the floor just like the cans in the cupboards and pots and pans in the drawer.  Might have to measure her for basketball or volleyball shoes soon.  She is only 16 months old.

Carter is an amazing ice skater.  Went to his hockey practice last Wednesday, he skates fast, falls down to stop, plays crash with the other boys and has absolutly no interest in the puck.  Some day maybe.  Take that hockey gear off him and he is just a skinny little weasel.  Need to feed him more to bulk him up a  little.

Jambalaya House should be here on Saturday February 1st.  Stay tuned for confirmation.

Going to be a busy week this week.  Carter is back at hockey practice on Wednesday night.  Hopefully he didn’t forget how to skate.  Saturday is the 16th anniversary event at Central Waters brewery, already sold out of the 16th anniversary beer.  Saturday Night is candle light ski at Hartman’s Creek State Park and probably High Cliff (I didn’t check High Cliff)  Going to be a cold one.

Kenzie’s schedule is kind of light this week.  No big events for a 1 year old.  She is starting to express herself more and tell you what she wants.  I am still working on “Hi Papa” so I know where she is when I can’t hear her or see her.
