North bound Oneida street was open to the bridge so you can get on the ramps but not open to go any farther north. Best is midway to Appleton Road to Calumet or Tellula to Calumet to the store. Oneida street is open at Calumet to the store (Mary’s Place, Red Ox and the strip mall also) No thru traffic but open from Wilson to Valley Road/Roeland if you want to get to any of the business in that section. I believe Oneida will be more open for the 4th of July.

Happy Birthday to my baby Aaron, 34 last Saturday. Sent Kenzie on a birthday spanking mission.

Golfing with the kids this morning had 24 on the first 4 holes, finished with a 47. Kenzie still is all hockey with the little bit of a swing she has. Carter hits the ball very nicely, I think his mom has gotten the one hand baseball swing out of him. He hits about 30 or 40 yards off the tee box. Hope I get to his baseball game on Wednesday.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of June 19th

Sorry about no message last week, I was in Canada fishing and golfing with Aaron and Carter and Louise is out to town. Shot 90 for 18 holes at Beauty Bay Golf Coarse in Kenora Canada. Caught about a dozen mid 20 inch walleyes that were put back. Ate fish 4 nights and brought home 6 walleye and 6 northern. Only the 3 of us went this year so home early on Wednesday last week. Becki saw the funnel cloud above the store on Wednesday before it did it’s damage down the street.

Got measured for my Wedding tux today. When Carter got measured last week he was told that he couldn’t grow at all until after the wedding (August 5th) Don’t think he will make it.

Picked up AJ at O’Hara in Chicago (3 Floyds) on Saturday. She was in Morocco for 2 weeks with my sister and her family. Wish I could have gone too. Mom’s first teaching job as a newly minted teacher back in the 50’s was on the army air force base in Morocco. AJ also went to Santiago Spain to visit the Cathedral where St James is buried. She is not Catholic but has been to Rome and India to get 2 other apostles so she figured that as long as she was this close. She has 983 pictures on the Camera and 86 on her phone from the trip. Only souvenir damage was a broken leg on one of the wooden camels. The pottery made it just fine.

New traffic pattern for the next 3 weeks. Oneida street is closed by the bridge (441/10 ramps) for water main work. If you are coming from the south take Midway to Appleton Road then North to Calumet and over to Oneida. Or, Tallulah up to Calumet then West to Oneida. We should be open at Calumet until the Gas Guys figure out when they are going to do the pipe, Later this fall. Thank you so much for the extra effort you put in to shopping at our store.

Carter and Kenzie today golfing. I shot 48, getting there. Carter hits the ball about 30-40 yards off the tee box. Only thing is he hits it on the toe and it goes almost straight out to the right, no where down the fairway he is supposed to be hitting it to. He also is swinging like a home run baseball swing.

Took AJ, my daughter to the airport in Chicago (3 Floyds) yesterday. She is going to Morocco for 2 weeks with my sister Nancy’s family. I would have liked to go too but didn’t know what to expect with our construction project. Why Morocco? Mom (Grandma) taught school there for 2 years after she graduated from Illinois State Teacher College. Mom talked about Morocco for her entire life. Wish I was there.

Very nice Memorial Day Weekend, Hope you all had a great weekend. I shared a couple beverages with the neighbors and shot 50 at the golf coarse this morning.

Kenzie and Carter were up north with Nana. Hopefully they bring back some candy from the Candy store for me.

Week 12 of Road construction and things seem to be calming down for a while. There will be some major closures farther south on Oneida street when they change the water main. they cut Concrete for the Village of Fox Crossing work on our side of the street but Good News, we are the end of the sewer line so they will start digging on the south side of our property and move away from us so easy access from Calumet for the foreseeable Future. Thank you to everyone who has made the extra effort to get to us. We Really appreciate it.

Road construction continues on Oneida St south of the store. If you are coming up from the South Turn Left on Valley Road, Right on Kerry and Right on Wilson then Left on Oneida to the store. Coming in from the North is wide open at Calumet. Please help the construction crew by NOT driving thru the construction zone. Business has improved since last week Wednesday when they opened Oneida at Calumet. Thank you for your great support, you have really made a difference for us.

Kenzie and I golfed today, I shot 55 again. I think she has given up golfing or farming the sand traps. Carter has figured out if he throws up on the bus on the way to school he doesn’t have to go to school. Last week he did it and got to spend the day playing with Auntie AJ. He tried it this morning and got to spend the day with his dad, not Papa. I don’t think he will be sick on the bus again. There was some hint that he really wasn’t sick on the bus today.

Week 9 of construction. Oneida Street is OPEN from Calumet (Dairy Queen) to Wilson Street (Red Ox) Easy Access to Niemuth’s from the North. If you are coming from the South the easiest is to turn Left ON Valley Road (Mobil) then Right on Kerry to Wilson, Right on Wilson and Left on Oneida to the store. Coming from the South you can also turn Right on Roeland (Community First) then Left On Jackson to Left on Murray straight into the store. Fishing on Lake Michigan this morning with Kenzie and AJ. No luck in Sheboygan, just a nice day on the water. Forgot Kenzie’s life jacket but they have a box of loaners for the kids. I did have 3 adult jackets in the boat but it was nice of the DNR to have a loaner at the landing that fit her. Let me know if anyone starts catching any trout or salmon near shore.
