Happy Birthday Mom!  She is 85 tomorrow.  We had 17 family members at the house for birthday dinner on Sunday. 

Get your basketball brackets filled out.  My kids accuse me of cheating  just because I filled mine out on Thursday last year.  They want to see a full bracket on Wednesday Night, can you believe that?  Go deep Wisconsin and Marquette. Oh, and Louise won the family competition last year… no pressure.

The new “Fresh Fish” radio ad should start airing on WHBY, 1150 AM during thier local programing and on every Brewers game.  Took us about 15 minutes for Carter to do the ad.  Sharky was a little worried about working with a 3 year old.  Carter was cute, every time Sharky said slower Carter was softer and every time Sharky said softer Carter was slower.  Carter is going to the water park as part of his “pay” for doing the radio ad.

Fresh seafood for Tuesday will be Tilapia.

Fresh Seafood for Wednesday will be Ora King Salmon and Arctic Char or Sole or Flounder if the Char Doesn’t come in.

Fresh Seafood for Thursday will be Chilean Sea Bass, Walleye and Northern Pike.

Fresh seafood for Friday will be Snapper, Scottish Salmon, Perch, Haddock, Catfish, Smelt, Scallops and PEI Mussels.  Any interest in Fresh Calimari?  Have had some chatter about fresh Calimari lately.  Call me at 734 4905 if you want some for Friday.

Order live lobster, oysters and Clams by 4 pm Thursday for Friday and Tuesday for wednesday delivery.

Fresh Brats will be Greek and Plain in Pork.

Picos Tempranillo from Spain.  Dry fruity with licorice finish.

Picos Old Vines Garnacha from Spain.  Dry but almost sweet red with taste of rasin on the finish.  Grown in very harsh conditions which concentrates the flavor.

Besitos Valentino Moscato from Spain.  You will find this one to be slightly drier and more fruity than sweet than most Moscato on the shelf now.

Specials for week or March 11th

Anybody seen any robins yet?  Winter is sure getting tiresome.  Think I will look for the robin decoys in the garage.

Carter seems to be entering his terrible 3’s so to speak.  He had a lot of trouble following directions and doing what he was told over the weekend but the best was today when he was fooling around with the fan on Nana’s side of the bed.  We have a 12/12 pitch roof that makes a nice slant to the ceiling.  Carter, turn the fan off.  He stands up and says no, looks at me and jumps whoomping his head on the slanted ceiling.  No marks so Papa’s watch is still good.

Kenzie on the other hand is a little angel until she starts to crawl.

Fresh seafood for Wednesday will be Ora King Salmon, (lots of it because I ordered 2 fish this week because it sells so fast) and Atlantic Sole.

Fresh seafood for Thursday will be Halibut and Walleye.  I ordered 1 whole halibut that will range from 10 to 50 pounds, I am hoping for about a 25 pounder)

Fresh seafood for Friday will be Pacific Grouper, Scottish Salmon, Perch, Haddock, Wild Gulf Shrimp, PEI Mussesl, King Salmon, peeky toe crab meat and Scallops.

Order Live Lobster, clams and oysters by 4 pm tuesday for Wednesday and 4 pm Thursday for Friday and the weekend.

Brat flavors will be Carribean Jerk and Plain.

Specials @ Niemuth’s for week of March 4th

So, sleepover at Nana’s this weekend. Carter wanted a banana. She said sure.. He ate it and then she said.. where do we put the peel, he immediately says the garbage and runs into the bathroom in the basement at the lake. He walks out and says, ‘I put it in the toilet’ Nana looked at him and said.. no you put it in the garbage… he says ‘No, Nana I put it in the toilet’ and then says..’Oh, I didn’t flush it.’ and runs into the bathroom.. She’s on his heels because she knows he speaks the truth. She gets to the door of the bathroom and he’s flushing. Nana looks in the toilet and just can’t bring herself to put her hand in the toilet and watches as it goes down. Hoping it will not plug the toilet as he happily goes out and annouces to Grandma Niemuth, AJ  and Aunt Janet .. ‘She’s not quick enough’  That started a giggle fest.
