Sorry about the last 2 weeks. Last week I was in Canada fishing and the week before I was battling the password and couldn’t get in.
Fishing was good, brought home our limit of walleye, 9 northern, 2 crappie and 2 lake trout. Scotty was the most excited about the Lake Trout. We tried a new spot and Scotty was texting Bridget when he got the first fish on. I said tell me when you get to 15 feet and I will get the net. He said I’m there, he was only 20 feet down. Very pretty 30 inch lake trout was in the boat in no time. Next day lets see if we can do it again and we did. This time about the same thing only a little deeper and a 28 inch lake trout in the boat.
Carter had one of his hockey/baseball friends and his dad along with us. The boys went swimming twice. Water temp on the depth finder was 66 degrees. Saw moose, otter and mink that we normally don’t see. Got 9 holes of golf in also.
BBQ Club is at the store in the south parking lot on Wednesday night 6-8 pm. Pork is the theme, cost is $10 per person donation. Come early to participate in cooking.
Road Construction update: Calumet east of Oneida is closed, supposed to be pouring concrete this week. Taft to close Tuesday 6/19. Murray straight into our lot is still open from the east. Good access from the west side lane of Oneida. Please be careful out there and thank you for your continued support.
Fresh seafood for Tuesday will be lake Trout, not the ones we caught.
Fresh seafood for Wednesday will be either Ora King or Scottish salmon, Black Tip Shark and Live Bevan Oysters.
Fresh seafood for Thursday will be a surprise to me, Don’t know what was ordered.
Fresh seafood for Friday will be Pacific Grouper, Scottish Salmon, Whole Red Snapper, Wild Gulf Shrimp, Yellow fin Tuna and U10 Dry Pack Scallops.
