Pearl Harbor Day, 74 years ago the “where you were” moment of that generation. The hardest memorial for me to visit when Louise and I were in Washington DC in September was the World War 2 memorial. Even harder than the Vietnam Memorial. World War 2 was the last war that the whole country was involved in both at home and overseas. Salute to the Greatest Generation who survived the Great Depression, won a world war and brought about some of the greatest economic and technology growth this country has ever seen. Especially to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Anything else seems trivial after this.
