OK, A Richard story. Dave had a cart of hot stix to go into the smokehouse overnight on Thursday. He leaves them in the cooler to hold temp so I have to put them in later at night but this time I forgot until the alarm company called at 3:30 AM to tell me the smoke alarm went off. Dave set the delayed start on the smokehouse and left the door cracked open. So off to the store to let the firemen in. When I came around the corner and didn’t see an orange glow in the sky I was slightly relieved. I parked and walked to the front door the refrigeration motors were running so I knew it wasn’t an electrical fire. Smoke was coming out of the smokehouse chimney. The fireman came in and said “it sure smells good in here!” Probably the first time he ever said that on a fire call. The hot stix were in and running on Friday night when I got back from the football game in Oshkosh. Dave didn’t give me a second chance.
Carter Starts all day kindergarten Tuesday, he is so excited all he says is “Can’t Wait for Tuesday.” He gets to ride the bus and everything. I told him to tell his teacher that he needs every Monday off to play golf with Papa.
